Object: Thanksgiving Day tomorrow
Thanksgiving Day is an interesting focus point for revealing
someone's bias with respect to Nostradamus' Prophecies.
*
This NewsGroup has suffered many years of attacks upon these
Prophecies by a British author whose articles gradually took over
the debate about them, after the same author had eliminated
(years ago) the same predominance of views about author Dolores
Cannon, a view so widespreead that, when I joined this NewsGroup,
I thought for a while that I had accidentally selected the wrong
NewsGroup. Not to say, of course, that Peter Lemesurier's views
of the Prophecies are so egregious that one has the same
impression, far from it, but its implicit propaganda denies the
prophetic nature of Nostradamus' writings in their entirety.
*
Which brings us to Thanksgiving Day.
*
The Roger Prévost/Peter Lemesurier view of the Prophecies being
that-Nostradamus-did-not-predict-anything automatically forces
them to attack any contrary view, therefore to attack the
contention that Nostradamus knew about the United States of
America.
*
When identifying a person or a location from the future,
Nostradamus uses many different tricks; he never names them, or
almost never, but suggests things *about them*. And the passage
of time eventually reveals about whom or about what Nostradamus
had written.
*
Thanksgiving Day is one of those damning subjects which threaten
the Prévost/Lemesurier view of the Prophecies: It happens on a
Thursday, Nostradamus speaks of the one who celebrates a
Thursday, therefore it is imperative that this Prophecy be
attacked, otherwise their house of cards collapses.
*
Here is the poem which mentions a Thursday:
*
--------------- C E N T V R I E__P R E M I E R E. ------------
----------------------- (édition de 1555) --------------------
*
----- 50 - De l'aquatique triplicité naistra -----------------
---------- D'vn qui fera le ieudy pour sa feste: -------------
---------- Son bruit,loz,regne,sa puissance croistra, --------
---------- Par terre & mer aux orients tempeste. -------------
*
The text does not speak of "les ieudys" but of "le ieudy". Only
one Thursday. And yet, there are some (who can't read French,
but... who cares!) who argue that the text refers to ALL
Thursdays (it does not but... who cares!), and therefore cannot
possibly refer to Thanksgiving Day.
*
Another silly argument is to claim that Nostradamus is not
speaking of a country here, he is speaking of a person:
*
---------- D'vn qui fera le ieudy pour sa feste: -------------
*
History shows that very few people have had the power to declare
a particular day of the week, every week, as their feast day. On
the other hand, many holidays are based on the day of the week.
It just happens that -- since the adoption of a Joint Resolution
of Congress in December 1941 -- the fourth Thursday of November
has been designated as... Thanksgiving Day in the US.
*
And December 1941 is also the month when -- after Pearl Harbour
-- the US began to build a military force second to none which
eventually resulted in a storm of fire unleashed on the Orientals
who had attacked her fleet.
*
Which explains why Nostradamus is interested in a minor event
(the 1941 Thanksgiving Day Resolution) to point to a major one,
the War in the Pacific between the US and Japan, which culminated
in the atomic attacks upon Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
*
There is, of course, this business of the "aquatic triplicity" in
line 1. For astrologers, the aquatic triplicity is the group of
Water Signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. So, to say that one is
born under one of the three Water Signs, i.e. under Cancer (July
2 or July 4, 1776), and celebrates a Thursday (Thanksgiving Day),
one has to mean... THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, nothing else.
*
Happy Thanksgiving Day, ye all!
*
Happy 500th, Nosty!

But does show that other views are held, as opposed to the New Age
nonsense that proliferates.

With your constructs, well they are somewhere between the Twilight
Zone and the Outer Limits. :}

* If he only wrote in Old French and Japan had little or no impact on
France in WW2 a fact that seems to have passed you by.

That is your opinion which has level pegging with Dolores Cannon, she
dreams hers and you construct yours
