the actions that come as a result of the fatwa.
The Aleph & Aleph can stand for AA or American Airlines which played a
part in wounding the two towers.
The "name of the seas" here stands for the the middle name of the King
of the East who is revived by the events arising out of the fatwa.

Actuually, these are the quatrains that deal with Sept 11 and the
recent evets that resulted from them. I posted this a while ago. I
might update that line 1 of C4 Q33 describes the victory of "coaltion"
forces in Iraq, Venusbeing a symbol here of victory as Venus was also
the goddess of victory for th the Romans. Jupiter is a symbol of the
US, and the Moon is a typical symbol of Islam. However, ine two says
that it is "appearing in full whiteness", which indicates that it
really has not been defeated. This translates into the modern
situation by the fact that Islamic and Middle Easterm nationalist
forces have caused more mayhem and destruction than they did during
the initial invasion.
Line three finds Venus, the victory goddess, hiding behind Neptune,
the second most powerful god. What happened to Jupiter? Where did he
go, leaving Venus to be "struck by the white gravel" To get to the
point, Neptune is also a symbol of US power, but this time in its
naval aspect. This all points to a future US attack on Iran, and how
US forces will get disastorously bogged down, probably with alot of
help from 5th column elements in Iraq, and the US will have to heavily
rely on naval and amphibious strategies to carry out its campaign.

I hold that N does not always use classical mythological concepts for
astrological or occult purposes; sometimes they are used simply as
metaphors for people or places or eras. This is especially true for
the so called occult / alchemal quatrains, C4 Q28, C4 Q29 & C4 Q33.
These obscure quatrains have usually just been written off as
alchemist gibberish by most commentators, but I suspect they could
actually apply to modern day events.
Let us examine the first of these quatrains:
C4 Q28
When Venus will covered by the Sun,
Under the splendor will be a hidden form:
Mercury will expose them to the fire,
Through warlike noise it will be insulted.
According the Hogue, the first two lines seem to point to an
strological conjunction of June 2000, and warned "a peace will be
broken (insulted) by war or an unspeakable terrorist act at that time,
perhaps in the Middle East."
In 2000, the three biggest global events that occured were 1)Israel's
withfrawal from Lebanon in May, 2)the beginning of the current
Palestinian uprising at the end of September, and 3)the bombing of the
US Cole in Yemen on October 12th, all in the Middle East
Though some of these events, especailly the Cole attack, could
certainily be desrcibed as insulting, they did not result in a sudden
war. The Palestinian violence outbreak, even though there were saber
rattlings and threats of immediate war, in the end turned out to be a
long, drawn out, and bloody affair. However, recent events (the
suicide bombing, the deadly Palestinian gunmen attack, assults on
Palestinian refugee camps, and Sharon's declining support) may
acutally see an escalation of this uprising into a more regional
struggle. Let us hope that cooler heads will prevail.
But the fact reamins that no single sudden event at this time sparked
a major war as Hogue suggested.
I believe that this quatrain does not really suggest a sudden war
sparking event, but rather is a general prophecy describing a period
of conflict with the Western and the Middle Eastern world.
In Roman times, Venus was also worshipped as the "bringer of victory",
besides her traditional role as the god of love and fertiliy. Venus is
also used else where in the prophecies as a possible metaphor for
islam (C5 Q53), probably because N is poking fun at islam's acceptance
of polygamy. The Sun is generally though to prepresent western or
christian ideals, which to N represented the ideals of logic, reason,
and enlightenment. One of Apollo's was aspects was the god of reason.
So in line one we can deduce that it either points to a time when
western ideals are generally dominant, hence "Sun covering Venus", or
more specifically to a time when western ideals are dominant over
islamic ideals. These conditions are certainly true for the current
period.
Line 2 suggests that something hidden will challenge this current
order, and line 3 states that "Mercury" will challenge it. Why has N
chosen Mercury as the symbolic metaphor that challenges the order of
the "Sun covering Venus"? Mercury, though not an evil god to the
Greeks, could be seen as having "evasion" as one of his aspects. He
was the god of thieves, stealing Apollo's sheep and concealing his
actions until he was eventually caught by Apollo with his prophetic
abilities.
So we have an evasive element challenging, or "insulting", the Sun, as
indictaed in line 4, and it does this through "warlike noise". This
all points to Bin Laden's group, in my opinion, the "warlike noises"
being his incitments to attack western, -and especially u.s.- targets
around the world. He is compared to Mercury in that he manages to
evade all efforts to kill or capture him. His most damning insult to
date would be his attack on the WTC.
Now let us proceed to the next quatrain.
C4 Q29
The Sun hidden eclipsed by Mercury,
Will be placed only second in the sky:
Of Vulcan Hermes will be made into food,
Sun will be seen pure, glowing red and golden.
Line 1 cannot be suggesting an astrological event, since Mercury is
not big enough to cover the Sun literally. It must be a purely
mythological metaphor. Another aspect of Mercury was being a god of
the clouds, which ties into concealment and evasion, and it is the
only real way that Mercury can "hide" and "eclipse" the Sun. We have
established that Mercury could represent Bin Laden's islamic
fundamentalist group, and the Sun is a symbol representing general
western thought and spirituality. The fact that the Sun is "hidden" by
Mercury implies that its state of supremacy is being challenged by the
evasive Bin Laden. For line two, we need to ask to what is the Sun
being placed second to "in the sky"? In my opinion, the second major
celestial object in the sky is the Moon, which has an obvious symbolic
reference to islam. So Bin Laden's group, symbolized by Mercury, has
somehow done something that has created such a challenge to the
predominace of the Sun that it is almost blotted out, possibly by
Mercury's clouds, and that the Moon has become the predominant
celestial object. Buried in this symbolism is a possible reference to
the WTC attack climax point in Bin Laden's struggle with the west. I
can still remeber seeing on TV all of Manhattan covered in a thick
clould of smoke, dust and ash, bloking out the Sun for people on
Manhattan
Line 3 suggests a counter attack to this challenge against the order
of the Sun's predominace. Vulcan was Jupiter's thunder bolt maker,
amoungst other things. It is implied that Jupiter strikes back with
his thunder bolts, which are made by his smith Vulcan. Jupiter was the
king of the gods, and I see him as a symbol of the u.s., the paramount
power of the current period. Vulcan, the maker of Jupiter's thunder
bolts, can also be seen as a symbol of the american war machine, with
its technology and financial resources. It turns Mercury, symbolic of
Bin Laden's islamic fundamentalist terror group, into food through its
bombing campaign (Jupiter's lighting bolts)in Afghanistan. That it
was turned into food takes us back to the story of Mercury's cow theft
of the Sun god Appollo, suggesting a total triumph over Mercury's
efforts to challenge the order of the Sun's predominance. The last
line is another description of the Sun's triumph over Mercury's (Bin
Laden) challenge against the Sun (Western spirtitual and intellectual
thought). Appearently Mercury's clouds have dissapated, which could
suggest that Bin Laden's goup has dissapated once its main sanctuary
has been taken over.
But does the story end here? Let us go onto the next quatrain.
C4 Q33
Jupiter joined more to Venus than to the Moon,
Apperaing with full whiteness:
Venus hidden under the purity of Neptune,
Struck by Mars by the white gravel.
This quatrain has been noted by some as pointing to the discovery of
Neptune in
1846, and though it may suggest that N knew of the planet before it
was actually dsicovered, Hogue and others have pointed out that there
was no full moon and/or a Jupiter-Venus near conjunction when it was
discovered, as is sugessted by proponents of the "Neptunes's
discovery" interpretation of this prophecy.
I believe that this is really a continuation of C4 Q28 and C4 Q29,
although it now takes us into the Iraq pahse of Bush's war on
terrorism. Again Jupiter is a symbol of the u.s., and Venus is a
symbol of the victory in this case, rather than a pun on islam, as she
was also worshipped by the Romans as "the bringer of victory". The key
to this quatrain is understanding the relationship between Venus and
the Moon, whose Greek myhtological counterpart was Artemis. They were
gods of opposing qualities. Venus was a fertlity goddes, but she was
rather adulterous. Artemis, on the other hand, was practiaclly
celibate. Artemis was also the good of the Moon, the hunt, the chase,
hunters, and the protector of aninals. We also find Venus in the
capacity of a hunter according to the myth of Adonis. During Venus's
affair with the mortal Adonis, who was a hunter, Venus would often
accompany Adonis on his hunting trips, and they would hunt small game.
However, Venus warned Adonis to not hunt game that was too big for him
to handle. After Venus gave her warning, Venus left temporarily. But
when Venus disappeared, Adonis decided to break Venus's advice and
take on a wild boar, which ended up killing him, much to Venus's
dismay.
In line 1, it seems that Jupiter is juxtaposed to Adonis here, and
suggests that the US, euphoric with victory after defeating a weak
power, will falter in its later efforts in the war on terror. "Joined
more to Venus" suggests the victory euphoria of taking out the small
game of the Taliban. However, the goddess of the hunt and the chase
does not favor u.s. efforts to capture or hunt down Bin Laden and
finish off this samll game and for all, and the moon goddess and
animal protecting Artemis is actaully shining fully in Bin Laden's
favor, as suggested in line 2. The conection with the moon and islam
is also obvious.
Line three suggests that the euphoria of victory brought by Venus will
be short lived, as she now is hidden under the "purity", or self
righteousness, of Neptune, becuase something, probably an army, is
"struck by Mars by white gravel" (line 4), which probably is poetic
for sand, suggesting a desert area, possibly implying a location in
the Arabian peninsula. Neptune is traditionally used as a meatphor for
a sea power, and I think it is used here specifically as a metaphor
for american sea power in the Persian Gulf. Mars, according to line
4, is the agent which strikes Neptune and causes the bringer of
victory to hide behind him (line 3).
This implies that a future military operation in the Persian Gulf
will falter, either because Iraq can somehow manage to frustrate it,
or because Iran, nervous about u.s. military rampaging so close to its
western border, and its future implication, intervenes either during
or after a campaign to oust Saddam, in the second case most likely
through Shiite proxies once Iraq has been fragmented in a post Hussien
political environment.
So like Adonis, the US, aka Jupiter/Neptune, gets wounded taking on
game that is a little bigger.

CIV28. As Garencieres suggests, 428, 429, 430, 431 and 433 may all be
intended to refer to the discovery of the "philosopher's stone," for
the transmutation of lesser metals into gold. The Sun stands for gold.
Otherwise it is incomprehensible.
CIV29, Reading Sun as gold, Vulcan as fire, and Hermes as identical
with Mercury, we have a continuation of 428. For alchemists only.
CIVQ 33. This one is certainly similar to 428-31, and may belong to
the cycle (which suggests that perhaps 432 does also). Or it may
indeed refer to a celestial configuration. What is most curious is
that Neptune, which now seems perfectly well in place amongst all
these planets, was not discovered and named until 1846-which leaves Le
Pelletier triumphant. Since this planet is not visible to the naked
eye, it could hardly be obscuring Venus, or in fact be intended here
at all. What did Nostradamus use "Neptune" for? Aquarius?
