Well I think "electricity in the fuel lines" is a lot less likely than a
missile. I believe (and can show you evidence to back it up) that TWA 800
was brought down by a spark (caused by faulty wiring) igniting the fuel air
mixture in the near-empty CWT. It has, after all, happened before on several
occasions. Whereas aircraft being shot down, at 13,700 feet and 12 miles
offshore by a shoulder launched missile which left no trace of its
detonation has never happened before.
As I said sparky, here's teh NTSB version of the Wellstone crash
