Article proclaims students' innocence and then doesn't discuss the
charges, just Camejo's anti-Vietnam war charges.

Article that doesn't provide any information as to the actual charges
but correctly points out that not enough information is available.

Says the students were part of a group that shut down a building. They
have a right to free speech, but there's a famous saying paraphrased
as "your right ends where my face begins." Standing outside speaking
is one thing, preventing others from getting to classes is quite
another.
The article also points out why these students were singled out and
also says that they chose not to defend themselves at the trial. They
can't ***** about the verdict if they chose to let only the
prosecution present.

The timing of the action is the only valid point here. Notice that the
whiners don't propose any solution around it other than "we like what
we did so nothing should have happened to us." If they were calling
for an open discussion and the records to be open, that's one thing.
They're not. Meanwhile, Camejo tries to make it a "free speech" issue,
though, as already pointed out, it's not.
