Freak Rock to Buzz Earth=A0
By Amit Asaravala=A0=A0
Astronomers are keeping their telescopes trained on what they call a
"potentially hazardous asteroid" passing close to Earth this month.
The 3-mile-wide space rock, known alternately as Toutatis or asteroid
4179, will come within 960,000 miles of Earth on Sept. 29. Though that's
too far away to incite panic, the asteroid is the largest known rock to
come that close in more than a century. And given that its orbit is so
eccentric that it can't be predicted for more than a few hundred years
in the future, astronomers want to use the flyby to learn as much about
the freakish rock as possible.

That is a nice sized rock. If something should cause it to break up
it would be a rock collection we would not want to see near our 'lil
circle. Worth watching!

The heavens are a bustling place!
There is so much out there that we don't know about (like the one back
in March) that we can be certain of one thing....Nothing is permanent.

Only idiots think Toutatis is ANY kind of threat.
It's orbit is well-known,
and it's going to miss us by almost a million miles.

*what* the article said. (below)
Sure is BIG!
It's orbit is well-known,
Can only be predicted a few hundred years into the future, It
says....It's what the article below says (it did). It said that. :)
and it's going to miss us by almost a
million miles.
It said, (the article below) it will come within 960,000 miles of the
earth and that it should NOT incite panic.
BUT!........Things are ever-changing in the universe, so some time in
the future if something (an unknown astroid) should collide with
Toutatis then we can look at it from a different perspective.
SURE IS BIG!!! :)

"Fred" once again emerged from the dark damp bottom corner of the
NG......as slimy mold will do and said:
Fear mongers suck....
What's there to fear Fred?
Lets talk about Fred's fears and why Fred never reveals ANYTHING of his
own thoughts and beliefs or knowledge about ANYTHING and can only tap
out these boring one-liners of ridicule and negativity such as:
asshat
assclown
fear mongers suck
what's your point?
bleh bleh......etc.
*What's* in Fred's BIG HEAD ??
*What* makes Fred TICK ?
Does it SUCK to be Fred?
Hmmm?

But there ARE fools who think it's going to hit us
