The Brink of War with North Korea. The Start of WORLD WAR III?
by Timothy Gatto

Now the United States of America comes to the moment of truth. This is
the call to their bluff, or is this the brink of war? Only time will
tell if the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, The DPRK, will
succumb to US threats of retaliation if they test a nuclear weapon.
This is a defining moment of this Bush administration.
What does Mr. Bush plan to do? He says that the US will not accept a
nuclear North Korea. The truth of the matter is, that because of his
incessant incursions in the Middle East, and his non-stop funding of
this "War on Terror", that this very real threat will come to pass as
George W. Bush's threats ring hollow, as we are ill prepared for a war
with North Korea.
It is estimated that with conventional artillery alone, the weapons
situated within 40 Miles of Seoul would start a firestorm in that city
that would leave over two million South Koreans dead within the first
24 hours of an all-out offensive by the North. These artillery pieces
are embedded in a mountain range north of Seoul that is practically
impervious to US air strikes. I have spent almost five years in Korea,
and I can say with assurance that the Korean people, North or South,
can be the most aggressive, determined enemy that walks on the face of
this Earth. Those Neo-Cons that conduct their armchair campaigns from
the comfort of their living rooms, amateurs that have never worn a
military uniform and have no idea what a 1,000 lb. Artillery shell
sounds like flying overhead, have no idea of the destructive capability
of North Korea. With an Army that is over 1.5 million men, well
equipped and well trained, what are we going to do if this army marches
on South Korea?
Where is the bulk of our Army? Do you believe that the Seventh Fleet
and the Eighth Army alone is going to stop a strike on the South? If
Mr, Bush commits the United States to a war with North Korea, it is
estimated that 25,000 US troops will be hit with the first day's
artillery strikes from the North. This will eliminate the entire
command structure of the US Eighth Army.
I am not proposing that the United States refrain from challenging
North Korea. I am just pointing out what the stakes are if we go into a
full scale war. I look at the American claims in this so-called war of
liberation in Iraq and wonder what this administration believes are the
limits of our military power. Does this administration believe that our
military capabilities are endless? Are they planning to strike North
Korea with tactical or thermonuclear weapons? This is the only recourse
that this administration has left our military. We can't go on being
the policemen of the world and go to war with three different
countries, in three different areas simultaneously. It is just a
military impossibility.
This is the point we are at. The threat from North Korea, makes the
threat from Iraq or Iran pale in comparison. This is what I have been
trying to point out over and over again. Even we, the greatest military
power in Earth's history, have our limits. Will and bluster have
nothing to do with the fact that we are overstretched and weakened by
our senseless involvement in Iraq. Now we face a credible enemy and we
are found wanting. This is the fruit of this Far-Right militaristic
administration. Mr. Bush has left us in such a weakened state that the
use of nuclear weapons will be unavoidable unless we want to face an
intolerable defeat and see the entire Korean Peninsula fall to Kim Jong
Il. This will certainly bring in the Japanese Self-Defense Force and
this may bring in the Peoples Republic of China. Through the
irresponsible actions of this misguided administration, we may well be
facing World War III.

Nothing will happen unless they are desperate and cornered, with China
and Russia as friends, N Korea will not do anything but fire a few
nuclear fireworks. They want money to survive and making and selling
nukes is good business, if they sell nukes to terrorists that attack
America then that is in China and Russia's best interest also.
My guess is sell a nuke to al-queda and wait 10 years. That nuke could
have come from anywhere, America has lots of enemies.

One peep out of N Korea and we should bomb them off the map.....
I am against attacking Iran, Syria and others in the Middle East
unless they take action against the US....
But we should take out N Korea and not take any ***** from them.....
We should have done this in the 50s.....
