Object: The Education of Ben Bernanke
Ben Bernanke should be summarily executed for treason. But no matter
what happens to him on this earth, he will go down in history as a
criminal and the lowest of scoundrels and as one of those responsible
for the downward spiral of the republic and its eventual destruction.
On the abominable humans scale, he will fall somewhere between
Eichmann and Dietrich Eckhart. That might be underestimating
Bernanke's negative effect on humanity.

I'm sensing a little bit of dislike for old helicopter Ben Bernanke here.
You want him to inflate, and he's not doing it.. is that it ?

No, I'd rather not see us kill the dollar. I'd rather not see the
most powerful man
in the country intentionally put out information that leads to scares.
And I certainly don't want to see money thrown out of helicopters.
Ben knows exactly what he's doing. It is intentional. He isn't
stupid.
He's serving those who want the US to move away from division of
powers and personal liberty/civil rights.
Check out some of the legislation we passed in 06...
The Warner Act....The Military Commissions Act
And earlier Patriot Acts 1 and 2...
Then look at Presidential Directive 51.
Then put them all together, and combine the result with the collapse
of the dollar.

No, I'd rather not see us kill the dollar.

The dollar's demise may already be a foregone conclusion. Blaming only
poor Ben B would be to miss some of the guiltiest culprits. I'm not sure
if Ben was even voting on the Fed decisions when they held rates so low
for so long to create this bubble.

I'd rather not see the
most powerful man
in the country intentionally put out information that leads to scares.

I think we're all just a bit too used to the riddles provided by Sir
Alan. Ben appears to speak much more plainly.

And I certainly don't want to see money thrown out of helicopters.

You mean like $800 per individual, $1600 per couple ? You may have to
blame the BushCheney for this.. and I'm certain that Henry <my Goldman
Sax buddies were creating the exotic loans at the same time we were
shorting the housing market> Paulson deserves some of the blame too.

Ben knows exactly what he's doing. It is intentional. He isn't
stupid.
He's serving those who want the US to move away from division of
powers and personal liberty/civil rights.

I wouldn't disagree with that statement. Keeping the Fed Funds rate
so low after we had emerged from recession in 2003 does appear to have
been intentional. The Fed central bank did this on purpose, but I highly
doubt the decision was made in a vacuum. I'm sure the fucked up
BushCheney was part of that decision.

of the dollar.

I'd love to hear your conclusions on this.. just give me the abridged
version and a few connections between the legislation and the effect of
a falling dollar.
What motivation would a guy like Darth Cheney have to undermine the US
currency, then convert his entire fortune into the Dubai currency and
buy a retirement mansion there (replete with a small army of guards) ?

Not ready to run for the hills just yet. Folks just need to keep

We now have very serious people embedded in the very foundations of

Catherine Crier, former talking head on ABC and FOX and Court TV,
former Texas district court judge who handled cases during the S&L
fiasco back in the 80's, was arguing about the economy with Tony Snow
on Bill Maher's show recently. She said our current situation was
worse than the thrift debacle 20 years ago. Said our leaders aren't
telling the people the complete truth. Said watch and see what's
going to happen this summer. The article I read about this exchange
said Tony Snow basically shut his mouth after this.

I only have half in overseas investments, but I'm thinking about moving
the rest to something more secure. For cash, gold ingots are a good hedge
against inflation - they aren't recorded, and they retain their relative
value better than money.

I love Johnny's Selected Seeds. They don't have as much of the heritage

Will the cure be worse than the disease?

Indeed, I saw that article. Here, check this one out from the
Prudent Bear:
http://prudentbear.com/index.php/BearsLairHome/33-BearLair/4920-the-snare-
of-stimulus
According to these guys the Fed has been inflating from the very start
of this crisis, back in August 2007, and inflation is currently running
at 5+ percent.. worse yet, they're predicting inflation of 10-15 % in
the next decade (yes, it's back to the good old 1970's).
The idea is push wages up (inflation) to meet the falling house
prices (deflation), and when they meet, that's when the economic
activity starts up again... the downside is inflation takes root once
again, and it's a very tough beast to tether once it is let loose.
The truth is inflation is the only real choice for the Fed. Our gov't
has such large liabilities that these future liabilities MUST be paid
with devalued dollars (the inflation scenario). If the dollar's value
is increasing over time (the deflation scenario) then the govt's booked
liabilities become astronomical in the future. Here's an article which
explains this.
http://www.seekingalpha.com/article/60261-all-signs-point-to-more-inflation
They're creating another bubble. They can flood the place with money and
credit, but they can't determine where that money is going to flow..
probably it'll be oil or agricultural commodities.

Politicians are scrambling to offer a stimulus package, and Fed
Chairman Ben Bernanke is slashing interest rates. But they may be
