Another DEEP THOUGHT of the Day.
Should Medical Doctors be allowed to 'Alter' the Appearance (and Fate) of the common person,
just because "They Can ??? "
YES, it is a 'Miracle Of Nature' that doctors can 'graft' someone else's partial face onto the
face of some one in need of this process. But, to what extent is this being taken to creating
"The Perfect Human" through Modern Science OR is this just another attempt to tamper with the
"Fate Of The Almighty".

Plastic Surgeons have been able to alter appearance for a long time now.
YES, it is a 'Miracle Of Nature' that doctors can 'graft' someone else's
partial face onto the
face of some one in need of this process. But, to what extent is this
being taken to creating
"The Perfect Human" through Modern Science OR is this just another attempt
to tamper with the
"Fate Of The Almighty".
If you were the lady whose face was ripped off by a dog, you might have a
different opinion!

It isn't. The only case to date was done through medical necessity so your
histrionics have no validation.

I thank everyone for posting on this topic, and hopefully everyone has taken the time to read
everyone else's post. Not until you understand the "other person's " position on a subject,
can you truly understand how it applies to your own 'confined' world.
Personally, I full support 're-constructive' surgery, but totally dis-agree with 'vanity'
surgery of any kind.
Anyway, thanks for the response. (who knows, this concern may show up on CNN in the next few
days.)

If it returns the person to a better state and allows them to live a
better life then yes. If the person agrees with it.
People do this every day through a little thing called plastic surgery.

Nope.

Well, that's quite a different thing from doing something simply because
one can, isn't it? If someone is horribly disfigured, I would hardly
call it an attempt to create the perfect human. There are some doctors
who will perform any plastic surgery that a patient wants, even though
the patient clearly is more in need of a psychiatrist than a plastic
surgeon (that "cat lady" and noseless Michael Jackson spring immediately
to mind), but for the most part, I think plastic surgeons do remarkable
work to make people comfortable with their bodies.

Why is it when people who have not had the misfortune of being disfigured
either through an accident, a crime or through birth and have not been
through the trauma associated with it cry "it's not of god"
when you have something that for the most part helps people, improves their
quality of life. Have you proof that a "super race" is being borne from
these technologies? I seriously doubt it. My husband has had a heart
transplant and thanks to the donors family my husband is still with us
today, he continues to be an important part of my life and that of our
children. According to the church this is not allowed this is of the devil,
that is the biggest load of ***** out. Anyone who has been through this
experience knows that it is a miracle and one not to be associated with evil
and commonsense also would tell a person this. Some cockhead in the church
takes some obscure verse and twists it to suit what he/she believes god has
"told" them. They neither have the right or the experience to make any such
judgement. What is fate of the almighty? Do you know? How do you know this
is not part of the design? Perhaps if you are fortunate you may get to meet
these people who have undergone lifesaving/life improving surgery and then
you will see what a "miracle" it truly is. If a person chooses to have the
surgery for whatever reason then it is their choice and no one has the right
to judge them for it especially when morons have never been through what
that person has.
You like to provoke with these sensitive issues and I have to wonder as they
are religion based that you have some kind of belief in the
statements/questions you pose. I do feel sorry for you if you do as it
reminds me of the dark ages when people were afraid and used religion to
impose their fears and beliefs on others. I would have to wonder, if you
were the one who decided the fate of say my husband you would have let him
died or the women with her new face that you would have said no and let her
suffer the humiliation the rest of her life. Where is the christian
compassion there? And who gives you (being religious types) the right to
decide fates of others? Who mad them/you "god"?
