Maybe there was another Mary, Joseph, and Jesus living in
the nearby area. It could happen.. those were fairly common
names.

Taken in combination, the probability of that happening is almost zilch!!.
I have no doubt, they have indeed found the bones of Jesus and his family.
Plus, there was another show I saw which reduces my doubt to almost zero.

Except that the derivation of the name "Mary" that was found on that
particular box didn't come into usage in that part of the world until
100 - 150 years after the time of Jesus.

But, if this is true that these are the bones of Jesus, there will be lots
of evidenc!! If the investigation is allowed to continue, I have no doubt
they will discover the truth. And I believe the truth is that they will find
Jesus's bones. Don't say I didn't tell you so!!! Also, I don't expect
many to believe anyhow. Denial is so powerful and many people cannot face
truth.

It's my understanding that it's been almost impossible to obtain any
accurate dna evidence from bones from that time period. Not to the
extent that you'd be able to prove that Jesus was someone's direct
ancestor. You'd then obviously have trouble proving who Jesus' direct
ancestors were.
Especially if you were trying prove that God was His Father.
It's also my understanding that they didn't find any bones in those

I believe Jesus was a mortal man. Secondly, if they have his bones in

future.
Besides, I saw a show a couple years ago about that box that once contained
St. James bones. The box was linked to the the basilica where St. James
bones was once kept. That show conclusively lined that to this tomb.
People denied at the time that it was authentic, now we know for sure that
box belongs to this tomb. That's all the proof I need!!! This is Jesus
tomb!

Like Wolfy said, they'd use bits and pieces for profit. Even grind a bit
down to fine dust and sell micrograms of it in resin-encased jewelry.
There'd be cults spring up around a bone fragment. Stevie would be like a
robed High Priest, drooling over it all...reminds me of THE ROBE movie
where the entire story revolves around who's gonna get the blanket
supposedly worn by Jesus appearing in Herod's court, and later Caligula
gets the 'magical robe'. He gets pissed it, though, that it won't work
miracles, and blah, blah...they could've just easily made the plot around
one of the sandals Jesus wore. LOL! What an insane thing, religion. John
Lennon and Marx were right...

How about a childrens' toy called, "Jesus In A Box" in which kids are
challenged to reconstruct a minature Jesus from plastic bones in a tomb
that looks like the ancient one found. Snap together assembly. Then comes
the other part of the toy -- fitting silicone or latex parts to the bones.
And then finally, the clothes and hair, and beard parts. The toy could
include a stand-up crucifix and kids would be able to strip Jesus down to
a loincloth, insert small spears, a crown of thorns, crucifix hand/foot
nails, etc. Of course, they could 'resurrect Jesus', too, and re-bury his
bones. A tiny LED light appliance could be inserted into the head of Jesus
to make him glow from within, signifying the spirit form before ascension.
A small tube of Karo blood syrup would be included, too. Kids could make
him real bloody or just a bit bloody. I think it'd go over BIG...

Now that's an idea that sounds profitable!
It reminds me of that wonderful, miraculous town called Lourdes. I
didn't live too far from there whilst in France and often amused
myself by wandering the shops. The array of 'Magical' goods is quite
incredible. All gaudy baubles and cheap plaster figures. Some have
eyes that follow you as you pass by. The prices of these gee-gaws is
beyond belief. Vendors are very very rich, thanks to the gullibility
of those who visit the place.
Far from being a wonderful town wher you crawl in and scamper
out...the place is full of people who drop down dead suddenly. So many
sick people go there, that the numbers of people dying in the Street
is probably the largest in the World.
No-one seems to ever think about that part. There's the odd 'Miacle
cure' hailed, but little attention to the mountain of people dying
there. It's quite a problem for the Local Authority, but one they
'suffer' well enough. Death brings such prosperity to a small town.

This would cause world-wide chaos Mondo. The Church, and just about
everyone connected to it, would be fighting one-another over bits of
Him.
Everyone would want a 'magical' piece. Look at the condition of past
Saints. Their bodies are missing all sorts of bits, fingers, toes etc,
all stolen by worshippers to adore in their Churches.
They do that to Sainted Figures, imagine how they will react to 'the
real thing'!
I might even try offering a few old bones on e bay and see if I can
make my fortune..;)

I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD, but it looks like it might
