Thanks to the surprise victory of GEORGE "DUBYA" BUSH over that lame
democratic candidate, AMERICA THE BEAUTIFuL now has a chance to
further its great agenda of Americanizing the world.
Bush has a Republican Senate and House. He has a majority
vote. He has lots of money. He has ***** Cheney to do his
dirty work. He basically can retire now, and let the
defense and energy corporations get on with the business
of running the world.
So now what? Well, I'll tell ya. Look out Iran. We are coming
and the world can't stop us. Iran is next on the list.
We will crush you. We laugh at your puny attempts at terrorism.
You knock down a building; we knock down a country or three.
We can continue to allow our ally Israel to flagrantly
violate human rights and even kill non-violent American
protesters dumb enough to try to protect terrorists.
We can continue to turn our backs as our
tax dollars are used to do things that we would consider
human rights violations anywhere else in the world.
And you Palestinians who danced in the streets after 9/11?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Keep dancing. Your hatred only gives
us justification to continue to victimize and dominate you.
Al Jazeera is GW's most useful tool.
And the economy will recover. Bush will allow the oil
companies to assure that oil continues to dominate the
world economy. We can suck the Iraqi oil wells dry
at the expense of a few thousand cheap American lives and
pollute the environment to our hearts' content. And
the U.N. can't and won't do anything to stop us.
Four years from now, we will have the FIRST woman
president ever. I'm certain all the Arab nations will
look at us in shock and awe when she takes the helm.
Congratulations are in order for the United States of America.
We stood strong and supported a president who took
us to war on completely bogus evidence, who violated
badly needed treaties signed by other American Presidents,
and who still has yet to track down Osama Bin Laden.
Well, I better get back to watching Fox News. Hannity
and Colms is almost over. See you all when we start the
next war justifying huge defense spending when there really is no
enemy anywhere. Let the healing begin.
We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Hasten the development of TIME TRAVEL.....I want to go back to late
60/early70!
I looked up the lyrics to the song "Signs" and it lists Tesla as the
artist......isn't that sooooo cute? he he he!
And the sign says "long hair freaky people need not apply" So I put my
hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why He said you look like a
fine outstanding young man I think you'll do So I took off my hat I
said "Imagine that Huh Me working for you"
Signs Signs
Everywhere there's signs
Blocking up the scenery
Breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that
Can't you read the sign
And the sign says "Anybody caught trespassing will be shot on sight" So
I jumped the fence and I yelled at the house, Hey! What gives you the
right To put up a fence And keep me out Or to keep Mother Nature in If
God was here He'd tell it to your face Man You're some kind of sinner
Signs Signs
Everywhere there's signs
Blocking up the scenery
Breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that
Can't you read the sign
Oh Say now mister Can't you read
You got to have a shirt and tie to get a seat
You can't watch No You can't eat You ain't supposed to be here
And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
And the sign says "Everybody welcome Come in Kneel down and pray" But
then they passed around a plate at the end of it all
And I didn't have a penny to pay
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign I said
Thank you Lord for thinking about me I'm alive and doing fine

Since we're in the 'Groove' ... listen to 'Volunteers' from Jefferson
Airplane ... it's a classic. My kids heard it for the first time while
watching 'Forrest Gump' .... we've watched it at least 14 times in the past
3 months but we just love the soundtrack to that movie.

Yeah but the 60's kids voted for Bush, mostly...traded in their
long-haired look for suits and exec jobs, taking the loot and running.
It's all a Matrix. The X-generation knows about conspiracies.
Hopefully there are some oracles in the Matrix who are humble enough
to know they see the light but not all the future and answers yet.
Good times the 60's; too bad so many artists OD'd on drugs.

Another movie with great music is "Almost Famous". I love that movie! :)

because kids today have short hair. No more LONG HAIRED FREAKY PEOPLE!

band called "The Five Man Electrical Band" in the late 60's.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers - 30th Anniversary Tour: LIve
The Doors - Live in Europe 1968
Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare [hey....it was a cool show! ;)]
Neil Young - Live In West Berlin
Ozzy Osbourne - Live At Budokan
And for the daughter....believe it or not,
The Best Of Bowie....she has flipped for him. She even started learning
how to play the guitar since her "accidental" introduction to his music.
Maybe she'll get to where she can support us in our "golden years"?

There was just a column in the paper this week about how the kids today are
listening to the music of *our* generation. they are tired of the phony,
packaged crap that passes as music today and want to listen to people with
real talent; who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments.
Certainly seems true with my kid and with the 20-somethings at the plant who
listen to the "Classic Rock" station!

I enjoy some of the new internet radio broadcasts, such as
shoutcast (http://yp.shoutcast.com), along with a good player
such as winamp and their opengl visualization plugins are
fun also.
My latest favorite radio broadcast is
http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=8483&file=filename.pls
No Dj's, nuttin' but music.

That's certainly true with my kids. There are a small handful of groups they'll
listen to, mostly that don't get any radio play, and the rest is all 70s and 80s
stuff, little bit of late 60s.
I think the record labels are looking for physical appearance these days, rather
than talent. It's pretty rare to find a perfect person who "has it all".

'Tis a must. Really a documentary it was called at one time the greatest
concert film ever made. Clapton is excellent on stage in that flick. I'm a
huge Van Morrison fan, he does "Caravan" with The Band, it's excellent.
Neil Young, Joni Mitchell perform along with others. It's Martin Scorsese
filming The Band's last performance, with Robertson anyway, on Thanksgiving
of 1976. You'll love Robbie in it, all the girls did. :-)

Ok, get some gooooood stuff for mom too. Robertson's solo albums are not to
be ignored. Looks like you like to rock out a bit so you might want to
check out his self titled album. He's got U2 on a couple of songs. There's
a tune called "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" that's worth the price of the
disc. I've yet to run into a warm blooded woman that didn't love that tune.
I MEAN it. :-)
If you're adventurous at all in your musical tastes I can give an
unreserved, totally enthusiastic recommendation to his "Contact With the
Underworld of Redboy". It's almost avante garde, totally influenced by his
Native American roots and one fantastic disc. It'll definitely get your
warm blood flowing.
One more obscure recommendation. Robbie worked with a couple of guys from
Milwaukee, used them on his first solo album, that called themselves
"BoDeans". If you love pure high energy, old fashioned fun rock and roll
find/order their "Home" disc. It's my all time favorite rock and roll
album. Great songs on it include "Love is Goob", no typo, "You Don't Get
Much", and "Sylvia" which is a song about a CAT!!!!!!!!! Ya gotta have it.
You have to listen to it a few times to get the feel for it. I promise you
won't regret buying any of these discs.

My son went thru all the fine music I grew up with when he was in high
school. It was cool to revisit it all.
