I don't necessarily think that astrology removes your free will, not
unless you allow it to. Real astrology (not horroscopes) is used as a
guide to determining your outlook, your self-esteem, your passion,
your romantic ideals, the nature of your imagination, sprituality etc.
Essentially, it can help you to help yourself.

Another misinterpretation is that the planets or the constellations
have deistic qualities, whereby they actually watch over you. That,
as you stated above, is *****. That is more
Greek/Roman/Egyptian/etc. mythology more than astrology. I think of
it more along the lines of gravitational and electro-magnetic
influences which may have an influence on a person's personality. We
know that the Sun has an influence over comets which traverse our
local group way beyond the orbitals of our solar system's own
cellestial bodies. Therefore, one could argue too that there are
similar forces in play from foreign galaxies and stars. Indeed,
Andromeda and the Milky Way are on a collision course with each other,
yet our two galaxies are a whopping 2.5M light years apart. It should
be remembered that the human brain functions use electical impulses
too. It's all a theory (as usual), however. ;-)

Nonetheless, I've noticed over the years that people originating from
the same starsign tend to exhibit more similar qualities than people
from alternative starsigns. I've noticed that most people born in my
month tend to have similar personalities and in most cases, even
appearances (hair colour, eye colour, etc.), whereas people born in
the month after me, but still in my starsign often seem to have darker
hair, the same colour eyes and very similar personalities too. Then,
if I look at Sagittarius which is on the opposite side of the wheel to
me, I find a strikingly similar personality to my own, usually brown
eyes (unlike my own), and often dark hair unlike mine (but that isn't
always the case).

Needless to say, the people I thoroughly enjoy being around are Gemini
and Sagittarius. The people who I tend to be good friends with are
Capricorns and Taurus, and to a lesser extent, Scorpio and Cancer. My
'Ex' is a Pisces though (go figure). Important to note, however, is
