Many books about Nostradamus refer to a carved inscription once
found on a house in the outskirts of Turin, in northern Italy.

That house is no longer in the outskirts of the city, but at the
centre of it (urban sprawling not being exclusively a North
American phenomenon), and the inscription has vanished,
presumably stolen by a collector. As it had been photographed
before its disappearance, the thief is left with a piece of
marble, nothing else.

Although many books refer to that inscription, very few actually
quote it as it is carved, line by line, letter by letter, the
result of this sabotage being that their corrupt text cannot be
decyphered. The true inscription follows:

The top line apparently refers to year 1556. Many authors have
therefore concluded from it that Nostradamus was in Turin in
1556. Perhaps he was, but we can't say for sure. Drawing
attention to this I 5 5 6 leads one to notice that adding these
four numbers, one gets 17, the year of the unintended destruction
of Paris. Adding further these two numbers, one gets 8, the month
of the destruction of Paris.

So one can say with confidence that line 1 of this inscription
refers to August 2017, as Paris is destroyed at 3:53 a.m. on
Sunday, August 13, 2017, according to the decyphered texts found
EVERYWHERE in Nostradamus' published works.
