Well, I would join in and nibble a bit...If they were in anyway
significant. To me, all of these extreme Religious Sects are as one.
They are an 'equal opportunity' group, I avoid them all equally
Can't really be bothered to make a cup of coffee at the moment. Mormons
have no real chance of attracting my attention! On the scale of the
Universe, they are as invisible to me as is bacteria.

It seems that wherever extremism is, misery is there, too, or soon
materializes in one form or another.
My encounters with Mormons, Pentecosts, and Witnesses were memorable,
though, and taught me something about the power of fanatical belief --
how it actually acts like a psychedelic drug! LOL!

You would have to admit that these organisations know how to attract
like minded folk, who seem somewhat numerous, and the belief system
though skewed is still very strong.
Bit like Sollog fans (maybe they are the offspring of such?).

Oh yes another interesting history of their formation and growth, and
those strange beliefs sort of mingled religioisity and their own Bible,
written apparently on tablets of gold.
Then there are the visits by bicycle, like they are doing a census or
something.
Have not seen them for a while.

They do, however, have an impressive obsession with family genealogy
and maintain what I believe is the world's most complete ancestral
family histories cache -- in a nuke-proof underground storage facility.
They also have many supplies stored underground to live out a sustained
nuke war. Once reviled by many Christians, the Mormons have survived to
become a powerful American 'cult' worth billions, and commercially
influential. They're prepping Gov. Mitt Romney, R-MASS., to be the
first serious Mormon presidential candidate! Always neat in appearance
when door canvasing, usually dressed in suits and ties, and very
polite, but 'quietly aggressive.' Not the firebrands like Pentecosts
and JW's, but close to it. They believe Jesus walked the American
continent, and the Angel Moroni told Joseph Smith where the gold
doctrinal tablets were (that started the whole cult rolling). Polygamy
was common, and if practiced today, many would have been labeled
pedophiles for taking wives barely in their teens, and, in some cases,
not in their teens. Multiplying like rabbits, the Mormons spread out
from Utah and are now everywhere, and own many major media venues. I
knew a lot of 'em as a grew up and they tried to get me to join 'em
more than a few times...very smooth approach, I have to admit, that is
less intrusive than the JW recruiting process...but still not entirely
honest or pleasant, either.

The Mormons was the last religion I tried. before I gave up on religions.
So technically speaking, I'm still a Mormon. I joined mostly because I
liked comradry with the cute missionaries. That was about 12 years ago.
But, I know they are lying, connivers because that's what I did when I was a
member. I remember the countless times I said I knew the church was true,
when I still had doubts.
I still feel resentment because they conned me into tithing for a whole
year. How could I have been such a sucker? I wish I could ask for my money
back! They are good people though. I had lots of fun with 'family home
evenings', visited the various temples. I got the two 'priesthoods',
(Aaronic, and melchizedek). I even went out with the missionaries preaching
many times. I liked their concept of the pre-existance. That's a bit
different for Christian religions.

I'M MORE MAN THAN ANY MORMON!!!

PROVE IT, YOU BRAGGART !!!!
I will meet you anywhere and we will drop our pants and see how you
measure up.
I am a direct descendant of Joseph Smith and he had a really huge
procreative member, and so have I.
I have already sired 26 children by 5 wives...one of the girls is still
sore and swollen badly and in a hospital recovering from my marathon
lovemaking. She is expected to recover. When she does, she says she wants
me to do her again!!!!

I heard the only thing Joseph Smith had that was big was his ego.
