I don't know about that. Despite the subject matter it
seems like they would be an excellent historical reference.
I've never read one book on WW2 that detailed speeches
let alone reproduced them in total.

I've read a bunch of stuff on the Third Reich ( Rise and Fall by William
Shirer is excellent ).
What bothered me about Bush's speeches in the run-up to invading Iraq ( just
so happens to be abundant in oil ... I know, I know, that's not why they
went in.... ) is that there was a stark similarity to those of Hitler's
prior to taking over both Czechoslovakia and the invasion of Poland.
Basicly, unfounded accusations with the presumption of guilt. And you got
the sense that this was something more personal then an issue of national
security( I know, I know, he didn't do it to wipe the sardonic grin off of
Saddams face after George Sr. left him in power after Gulf War I ).
Of course, Hitler didn't have to put up with the press proving him wrong, as
does Bush.

Compare the ultra nationalism, militarism, racism, homophobia,
hatred of minorities, hatred/suspicion of immigrants/aliens, veneration of
icons, and symbols, and elevation of individual characteristics of national
socialists of the 20's and 30's, to the neo-conservatives (in firm control of the
GOP/RNC)
