This is such a "Bolton-to-Turkey" seat, which is not pegged down on the 350s. |
Hi, I know this seems rambling and off-topic at first, but bear with
me, and you'll see why I'm posting it.
I sometimes have what the doctors call "hypnagogic hallucinations". Or
in plain English, my dreams can sometimes start shortly _before_ I fall
asleep, instead of afterwards. However, it doesn't last long, since I
usually snap out of this state as soon as I'm aware of it.
A couple of nights ago, I had a hypnagogic state where I heard my own
voice saying "This is such a 'Bolton-to-Turkey' seat, which is not
pegged down on the 350s."
Now, since dreams and visions come directly from the subconscious, and
since the subconscious is much better than the conscious mind at
processing hidden links between seemingly unconnected concepts, I can't
help wondering if there's a message or meaning in those words? Many of
my normal dreams contain little premonitions about things that are
going to happen in the next few days, so why not these hypnagogic
dreams too?
I think "350s" are a make of train on Britain's railways. Do they run
to Bolton at all? If not, is Bolton served by trains with similar
seats?
The word "Turkey" suggests Muslims to me. Could an Islamic terrorist
be planning to hide a bomb under one of the train's seats? Or, more
likely IMHO, will there be a race riot on the train with seats being
thrown at innocent Muslims?
Can someone who has experience of both travelling on the "350" trains
AND of analysing prophecies help me understand this? If so, thanks in
advance.

I have precognition and if something is going to happen, I would know about it. If
I have to interpret some dream to get the meaning out of it-- 99.9% of the time,
there is no meaning; it's just junk from my subconscious. If you
associate "Turkey" with "Muslims" you're reaching there to make a connection;
that's a psychological rationalization not a prophecy.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad that turned out not to be a premontition
after all. It would be terrible to think that my subconscious had
worked out something bad was going to happen but I was powerless to
prevent it. At least now I know there's nothing to worry about.
With hindsight, I suppose, if you think about it, it's obvious that
something at the _beginning_ of my dreams couldn't have been any kind
of prediction. After all, the subconscious is only just starting to
get warmed up and can't predict anything accurately. It's only towards
the end of the sleep cycle, right before waking up, that the dreams
have been running long enough to make accurate predictions.
Sorry for wasting your time with something that was so obviously going
to be false. I'll try and be more careful in future.

You mean you plan to make MORE predictions that don't pan out?
Somehow, I don't seem surprised.

No. I'm not _planning_ on making any predictions, just as I didn't
_plan_ on making that one.
Go back and read my original post.
I experience occasional hypnagogic hallucinations. This isn't

any subconscious message in my hallucinations. That's why I posted
here. Now I know that there isn't, I won't need to bother wasting my

Yes, there almost certainly is. The seats on the 350 were often "facing the
engine". To sit "facing the engine" is a British idiom like "go on the other
bus" or "bat for the other side" meaning homosexual. Turkey is well known
for it's public steam baths, such baths in e.g. San Francisco have long been
associated with illicit meeting places for men. And of course, nearly
everybody from Bolton is a poof. Clearly, your subconscious is telling you
that you are a screaming Bertie and you want to do it on a train with a fat
kebab-shop proprietor. Possible while other men watch and stroke each other.

Well, you won't have to waste your time looking for a wife. Or a

out for some strange reason.

Why would you wonder that?
Because, as I said in my original post:

See, you should've gone back and read it, like I suggested.
Or messages "from the future" as was originally implied?
No, just messages _from_ my subconscious, possibly _about_ the future.
Where did I imply anything to do with messages "from the future"?
What do you think I am, one of those nutters who thinks they've got
really psychic powers or something like that? I may be mantally ill,
but I'm not crazy!
You sounded just like any other fake psychic - throwing out vague
suggestions in the hope of eventually getting a hit.
I wasn't _hoping_ to get a hit at all. Since the only possible
meanings were all negative (terrorism or race riots) I was hoping my
explanations were wrong. And I'm relieved that they are.
Sorry it didn't work out this time.
Yeah, well, thanks but I don't think it's gonna work out at all.
Like I said elsewhere, these visions only occur when my mind is
preparing to sleep, and when my subconscious is just _beginning_ its
dream cycle. Of course its messages aren't ever going to be accurate,
because it isn't fully warmed up yet and hasn't had time to work out
all the hidden connections.
I should've realised this from the start. Sorry once again for wasting
everyone's time with it.

Class 350's do not serve Bolton, but i think clas 185's which are very
similar will be serving Bolton once they come into service. They have
identical seating and train layout to the class 350's if i am not
mistaken.
The word "Turkey" suggests Muslims to me. Could an Islamic terrorist
be planning to hide a bomb under one of the train's seats? Or, more

No, I can't, other than to answer your specific questions ...
* No, 350's don't go to Bolton.
* No, 350 seats are distinctive, and no Bolton train has them.
.... and to suggest that a connection - Turkey > Muslims > Islamic
terrorists - is a very far fetched one indeed.
Be very clear about the difference between prophetic messages coming to
someone in dreams (in well attested cases, the message is always clear,
precise and delivered to someone relevant) and the enterprise of trying
to find meaning in one's dreams. The latter is better termed
oneiromancy, and has much more to do with psychology than prophecy.
