When I add 146 days 5 hours to Jan 26 inclusively, I get June 21st,
which is the longest day of the year. Is that comet a spoilsport or what?

Actually, I got June 20th at 6:00 AM EDT.
Interestingly, there's an asteroid called Itokawa that's supposed to come
very very close(?) to the earth rigt at that time.

According to that site the asteroid will reach most close to the Earth on
29th June
at a distance of 0.015 AU. 1 AU is 150 million kilometers. So the distance
on 29th
is still about 2 million kilometers, that is about 7 times as far as the
moon.
Kind Regards,
Barbarossa

That's pretty close, but still more than 1 million miles.

right -- but there are a lot of funny things going on with the solar
system's gravity because of the three comets currently in the system and the
effect they're having on the sun
just something to keep an eye on, that's all
Interestingly, the Japanese sent a probe "Habayusa" to "intercept this
asteroid". But there's some funny business going on. They sent this thing
out in May 2003 and it's supposed to rendezvous with Itokawa in 2005. That
doesn't make sense to me. Why would you fly this thing halfway across the
solar system to meet it in 2005 when if you wanted a year, 2004, you would
be able to catch it as it swoops very close to the earth. If this is an
impact object, perhaps the Habayusa was supposed to try something to deflect
it a little and has already caught up with it on its way around. Also,
observations regarding its course disappeared for more than 2 years after
late September 2001 until December 2003. They claim that's because they
couldn't see it (too close to the sun from earth perspective). But it
wasn't always that close. In September the managed to get a full radar
imaging and asserted they could thereby get its course with absolute
accuracy. Then you don't hear about this thing for two years.
If that one radio transmission is real (and not some hoax), then maybe
there's something going on here.
That's pretty close, but still more than 1 million miles.

Why doesn't NASA ask the Japanese agency why they did that?
Aren't the two organizations coordinating space activities, especially when
it involves a near earth object that could possibly be on a collision course
with the earth?

Is NASA looking for an explanation from the netizens of APN? I don't
suppose NASA is letting you use its server for your own personal interest.
Yes, the Coming of the Antichrist coincides with a large, bright comet. The
Book of Revelation also states that the Angel in heaven picked up a clump of
incense from the alter of God and hurls it at the Earth and there was great
thunderings and earthquakes.
Since you are with NASA, could you tell me why NASA stopped publishing the
beautiful pictures taken by the Hubble telescope that shows demons and
angels in Nebulae and all kinds of amazing goings on out in space? Why are
those space photos being suppressed???
