Israel is a militarized, apartheid state...and it is further on the
road to true fascism than the U.S. In fact the Olmert government has
within it's ranks now members that openly advocate
removing Israeli Arabs from it's territory, and revoking citizenship.

Religion or old story books don't interest me a lot John. I wandered
Israel a couple of years ago. I had entered from Egypt after a bus
across the Sinaii. I hired a car and drove around for a few days, then
returned the car and left by going into Jordan.
I didn't meet anyone who I didn't like...found a lot of hospitality and
quite enjoyed the place.
I've got an Israel stamp in my passport...pity, some Countries don't
admit people who have that. Mind, the immigration on Israel borders are
aware and will give you a paper slip to carry, instead of a passport
stamp...if you ask for one.
Can't see what all the hysteria is about. Israeli affairs are for the

Not that you're capable of seeing anything beyond your
chair, but the United Stats funnels billions to Israel,
effectively paying for many of those policies, and that
does give each and every American a voice in affairs.
Sure, options may rightfully be limited to stopping or
continuing the economic & military aid, but that's a
voice in Israeli policy. If a particular policy offended
Americans to the extent that public opinion favored
ending financial aid -- so as to wash our hands of a
policy we effectively paid for -- no one, and certainly
not Israel, would have any trouble seeing that as
American pressure to end the policy.
Nations do not exist in isolation. Every nation is free
to do as it pleases -- like the United States and
Israel -- but what we do impacts on what others do.

Of course, it's silly ... and nuts, too! We're a nation of dangerous
racists, morons, psychopaths and sociopaths. Always have been. When
2004 Democratic VP candidate John Edwards was asked who'd he like to
have shot in the face had he been elected Vice President, he recently
told The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, "***** Cheney." !!! That proves it.
LOL!!! Bang, bang, boom, boom...we kill off Third World peoples, animal
species, each other...in a crazy fast-moving culture of war-worship and
miscellaneous bloody mayhem. The so-called (by Bush) "WW3" is being
fought daily in the trenches of exotic shopping malls, gourmet
restaurants, thrill-happy sporting events, ad nauseam. Why do we fear
terrorists? It's US...not THEM we need to fear the MOST.

Hmm, what you've heard coincides with the documented teachings of
Judaism in both the Talmud and Encyclopedia Judaica. I think it also
agrees with the general treatment of goyim by Jews.
The primary difference between Christianity and Judaism isn't the
acceptance or denial of Jesus as Messiah, it is the beliefs that
the golden rule applies either to all mankind or only to Jews.
Christianity isn't anti-semitic; Judaism is anti-Christian.
And anti-semitism within the Christian community is
a result of that anti-goyim sentiment by which most
Jews live their lives.
Once Jews start to realize that Goyim have as much
(if not more, as spiritual pioneers rather than backwards
tribalistic human rights violators) dignity as Jews, the essential
teachings of Judaism will lead to an acceptance of
Christ.

I disagree with all of the above. While Christendom has made some great
strides towards tolerance of Jews, there is a long way to go. Much of the
current pro-Israel support on the part of conservative Christians, for
example, is in actuality support to rebuild the Temple and have Jesus come
and pass Judgement - which means that all the Jews who don't convert will
go straight to eternal damnation. Those that are less, um, violent, shall
we say, are still prone to have a holier-than-thou attitude towards the
"unsaved" Jews.
Once Jews start to realize that Goyim have as much (if not more, as
spiritual pioneers rather than backwards tribalistic human rights
violators) dignity as Jews, the essential teachings of Judaism will lead
to an acceptance of Christ.
Unless Christendom changes the manner in which they attempt to convert
people, as well as the attitude of its followers, I would think that
Jews would be more likely to accept Buddha than Jesus. Modern Christians
may be more spiritually attuned than their Crusade-era counterparts, but
as a group they aren't exactly beacons of love, tolerance, patience,
compassion, forgiveness and modesty that Jesus condoned (not to mention
being apolitical).

I have never met a Jew who treats non-Jews with anything other than
courtesy and respect.
Well, I have. In fact, I have never met a Jew who treats non-Jews with
anything other than surface politeness and absolute contempt and
disregard beneath it. I like examples: Company in NY City called
Blueflame. Jewish CEO. 2 Israelis come and offer to sell their
company
for...I think it was 50 million dollars. The entire management of
Blueflame STRONGLY urges the CEO not to buy the company as
it will severly hurt their liquid assets--and as they have years
and millions invested in the company, they want to see their
investment protected.
..
The CEO disregards their objections--with the words, "We Jews
have to stick together." He buys the company. Blueflame
stock then plummets--absolutely destroying the life's work of
hundreds of goyim. The 2 Isrealis then buy all of Blueflame
for 2 million dollars--and the entire management team of
the Blueflame resigns. Afterwards, the CEO admitted he had
made a huge blunder.
Christianity isn't anti-semitic; Judaism is anti-Christian. And
anti-semitism within the Christian community is a result of that
anti-goyim sentiment by which most Jews live their lives.
I disagree with all of the above. While Christendom has made some great
strides towards tolerance of Jews, there is a long way to go.
Disagree all you want. Nowhere in the New Testament does it say
anything about treating Jews as less valuable than anyone else.
In the Talmud and the Encylopedia Judaica, however, it clearly
states that Christians, particularly Jewish converts to Christianity,
are animals and deserving of death. Those two texts consider
converted Jews to be the most dangerous threat to Judaism in
the world. They state that any legal
dispute between a Jew and a Goy is always decided in favor
of the Jew. Preaching the Gospel in Israel is FORBIDDEN,
as in you get thrown in jail for handing out New Testaments.
Finish the following Jewish prayer:
I thank God that I am not a slave, not a woman, and not a .........
Give you a hint, the word is spelled, "gimmel, vau, yod."
And at one time, there was good reason for this. The Jews
were the pioneers. But they are a stiff-necked people, and
the modern Jews have....fallen behind. Please don't think
I take any satisfaction in this. I don't feel like it makes me
superior. It makes me very sad and frustrated that they
are so stubborn. I firmly believe that some day the Jews
will be as much a blessing to the world as they are now
a gall to the palate of Christ.
Much of the
current pro-Israel support on the part of conservative Christians, for
example, is in actuality support to rebuild the Temple and have Jesus come
and pass Judgement - which means that all the Jews who don't convert will
go straight to eternal damnation. Those that are less, um, violent, shall
we say, are still prone to have a holier-than-thou attitude towards the
"unsaved" Jews.
Well, this much is true. The current situation in Israel very much
looks
like the common interpretation of the Book of Daniel and the Apocalypse
of John. Bible literalists are convinced that we are in the end times,
and they tend to take the side that favors their world view.
You're underestimating the Jews here, Woodsie. See...the Jewish
religion (particularly pre-Babylonian captivity) is
incredibly...healthy.
The law of Moses isn't there to condemn the world, but to WARN
the world. The vengeful god of the Old Testament is a metaphor
for the consequences of going against nature. One of the most
painful realizations of my life was, many years ago, meeting
Messianic Jews and coming to the conclusion that Christianity
has LOST so much of the meat of their religion over time.
And the Jews know this--and it's like they dig pits for
their neighbors, thinking it is ok to do so.
The method of proselytization is irrelevant to the Jews because
most of them understand the fundemental difference between
Judaism and Christianity far better than Christians do.
And that difference threatens the very existence of Judaism--
not through inquisitions or other violent anti-semitism,
but ideologically. Because if Christ was right (which he was)
the Jews are no longer the Chosen people. All of humanity
deserves the same treatment. And the Jews no longer have
the right to exploit any goy. The parable of the good
Samaritan illustrates this point better than I possibly could.
Christ teaches that we treat everyone as children of God,
not only members of our own religion or race.
Modern Christians
may be more spiritually attuned than their Crusade-era counterparts, but
as a group they aren't exactly beacons of love, tolerance, patience,
compassion, forgiveness and modesty that Jesus condoned (not to mention
being apolitical).
Not always--for sure. But Christians have the light of the world. And
the
modern-day Jews, who were once the vehicle for that light, have
rejected it in favor of
being able to cheat their way to dominance of other races.
(12 U.S. Senators, 10 Democrats, who will always vote in
favor of U.S. military action in the middle east against
Arabs--getting reelected even though their own party
won't nominate them).
They knowingly choose to reject it, not out of a moment
of weakness, but ideologically and institutionally.
