Little do you know that I was once a "born again" Christian. I have inside
knowledge of how slimy and pathetic these people all are. I do not think
fondly of liars (and killers). That is why I consider you no more than pond
scum!! You have asked me on several occasions why I dislike you, what you
have done. That is one of the reasons is why.

I think I once told the DouglASS that I was a Presbyterian until age 17.
At that age, I said this to Jesus: "I can't take the lies and hypocrisy of
man's organized religions, Jesus, so I respectfully withdraw my membership
from the churches of mankind forever more. And if I have offended you, or
God, by skipping out, then I of course await God's judgement on Judgement
Day as to where my soul will end up." (a bit paraphrased -- it's been a
long time!)
I've never turned back, or even considered it for a second, since that
prayer was made. I continue to believe in God, but seriously question
whether any human being, including Jesus, was the special conduit for God
(or is today) -- that any human being claiming divinity is nothing more
than a self-deluded person or a hoaxter. I don't think we can understand
what God is, and all our concepts in organized religions fall pitifully
short in explaining or describing what God really is, IMO. No one knows
what God is, and no one knows if life continues beyond death, or that
there is such a thing as a soul. No one KNOWS. I'm tired of believers
trying to substitute their beliefs for reality or facts.

Steven is unable to bare the pain that there is no God to avenge him of all
the wrong we have done him. Vengeance is what he desparately wants. That's
why he clings to Jesus. He thinks Jesus will do his dirty work for him!

You were never a Christian. A Christian would not say what you just
said above. What you said goes against the teachings of Jesus. Unlike
you, I would never wish harm on you or anyone here.

According to your wonderful book, Mondo is exactly correct.

Grins Mondo.
Actually, a few days ago I did try to 'offer a hand of understanding'
to Steven. He rejected that. So, I can say I tried to inform him, was
not successful and he is now consigned to the dustbin of the
iredeemable.
I've had my share of preaching perfectionists, priests and nuns in
life. Douglas is just another of them.

No, mukyuk dismissed God from his equation above, and said "Jesus"

I don't agree with people who equate Jesus with God. I believe Jesus
was sent by God. But if Jesus actually *was* God, why did he have to
pray to God? Why didn't he just tell himself what to do instead of
asking God what to do? Why did he *quote* God in the Bible text you

never said anything like that.

Why would you say he was a terrorist? Unlike a different prophet,
Jesus demonstrated forgiveness for transgressions committed against
him. That's what he taught, and that's the example he set for his
followers.

Of which prophet do you speak Steven? Was it Moses who had God send all

be schrizophrenic split personality. Seems more like a Devil to me!

That's what he taught, and that's the example he set for his

I didn't see your interpretation. Did you forget to post it? As for
the text you quoted above, the first thing I noticed was that Jesus
said, "Have faith in God and faith in me." He spoke of God, and he
spoke of himself. He did not say he was God. He spoke of his Father.
He said, "...I am in the Father and the Father is in me..." -- which
goes along with my thought that Jesus is the Son of God, and he is
*of* God.

As a Catholic from birth, I interpret that the way all Catholics do.
Research about Catholics and you will find out. Don't you know anything
about the mysteries of 'Trinity'? Every day I discover how you are less
educated than I previously thought. It gives me joy to know what a pathetic
existence you must have!!!!

As for
the text you quoted above, the first thing I noticed was that Jesus
said, "Have faith in God and faith in me." He spoke of God, and he
spoke of himself. He did not say he was God. He spoke of his Father.
He said, "...I am in the Father and the Father is in me..." -- which
goes along with my thought that Jesus is the Son of God, and he is
*of* God.

Of course, you conveniently omitted the 'contradictory', second half of the
passage....

I do not believe in God as you believe it, but I do realize the spiritual

the Universe exists in all things. I find the argument that life goes on

I do not cling to other people's inventions and religions. These things were

He claims he cares a whole lot for the downtrodden Mexican poor people,

Cherry picks his *concern* for the people depending on whether his feigned

I could not care less who you are.

Exactly what I've been trying to say all along. You don't care enough
about others. Besides, I remember once you once pretended to wish me
hapiness, now you could care less about me. Which is it?

He claims he cares a whole lot for the downtrodden Mexican poor people,
though, but it's obvious he cares not a hair for the Iraqis slaughtered
and injured.
Cherry picks his *concern* for the people depending on whether his feigned
compassion will score him a few points in a debate. Improve his image, and
bolster his always insatiable ego. All he has to say is he's feeling much
sympathy or emphathy for some disadvantaged people somewhere, and then
hope we'll forget his long support for the mass killing and maiming Bush's
Iraq war brought upon innocent civilians.

First of all, I thought you killfiled me. But like some of the other
ultra-fringe leftists who inhabit this place, first you killfile me,
and then you become even MORE obsessed with me than ever. Really a
strange phenomenon.

You know nothing about me. Yet you make these false pronouncements as
if you're coming from some position of authority. It is you who is
dishonest and a liar.

Besides, I remember once you once pretended to wish me hapiness,

What you just wrote is another of your lies, liar. I did not say I
don't care *about* you. I have never said that, and I will never say
that. I only wish you all the happiness that you can find, while you
wish me dead. And you think you're the good person. How silly you are.
