I like curried roti with the dahl, but chicken is my favorite, I hate lamb
or goat. I don't like the taste. I went to Trinidad and a couple places in
South America and the Carribean a couple years ago with some friends from
Trinidad.
My friends grandmother was an awsome cook and we cooked and ate lots of
roti. I loved it so much that she showed me how to cook it. It takes all
day to do, but it's worth it if you have lots of guests and the patience.

I make good curry, but I usually buy roti from a Jamaican stand. I tell
them to make it as they like it and it is so hot it could peel paint, yet so
delicious that you just have to keep eating it...

If *HIS* "ELECT" ever became a shepherd...
In order to prove how much he loves his sheep, H.E. would start by
laying down abitrary but strict laws about when and how they are
allowed to bleat.
And when some sheep, not being naturally the most obedient of animals,
prefer to bleat in their own way at their own time, H.E. would declare
them to be criminals and they should be punished.
H.E. will justify the punishments by saying they are necessary to make
the laws work. And he will justify the laws by saying they are
necessary to make the punishments work. He won't see anything odd
about this circular reasoning at all, although that will be of little
consolation to the unfairly punished sheep.
These sheep will naturally become unhappy about being tortured all the
time, and start to panic whenever he approaches, bleating uncontrolably
in their fear -- breaking the laws yet again.
This will be the last staw for our shepherd, who will declare that
these can't be real sheep. They must be predators in disguise, so he
is free to torture them even more.
The sheep will finally have enough, and try to escape into the next
field, where the shepherdess doesn't treat her animals that way. Our
shepherd will then try to apply his laws and punishments to her sheep
too, claiming that all sheep everywhere belong to him.
Meanwhile, there are so-called "good sheep", whose natural patterns of
bleating just happen to match those set down in the shepherd's
arbitrary laws. H.E. will reward these sheep for simply doing what
comes naturally to them (even though he punished the other sheep for
doing exactly the same thing!)
Their "reward" is that they will be trained to act as sheepdogs, and
enforce the laws on other sheep. But they're still sheep, not dogs,
and so they are completely unsuited to the task and their minds snap as
a result.
Finally, when market day comes around, H.E. will look at the sheep in
his care - all injured, dead, or mad as a result of his treatment - and
announce that he loves them to much to sell them to the slaughterhouse.
At which point, the farmer will say, "Well, why did you take the job
then?" and sack him on the spot!
