STORM ON FLORIDA PATH Tropical Storm Gamma, the 24th named storm of the
busiest Atlantic hurricane season on record, formed off the coast of
Central America and caused flooding and landslides in Honduras that
killed at least two people. Forecasters said the storm could threaten
Florida by the beginning of next week, perhaps as a hurricane. In
Honduras, the government evacuated hundreds of people from coastal
towns, and President Ricardo Maduro said soldiers were working to take
food, water, medicine and blankets to the area. A search was also under
way for five fishermen whose boat capsized. (AP)
