'Turkey and Iran may be Brought Against Each Other'

Authorities were warned that to facilitate a possible attack on Iran,
whose nuclear operations are attracting worldwide attention, Turkey and
Tehran may be brought against each other.
International Strategic Research Organization (ISRO) released an
"Iranian nuclear crisis" report, which deals with the possibility
of a US attack on Iran, and sent it to the Turkish president, the prime
minister, chief of the General Staff, commanding officers of the army,
and some ministers. In the report Turkey is advised to be an "active
mediator" to resolve the nuclear crisis between Iran and the West
through diplomacy and it was noted that the regional power balance may
change if Iran improves its nuclear capacity.
ISRO presented its report on the issue to the top of the state before
the meeting of the United Nation Security Council, which will discuss
on March 6 imposing sanctions on Iran due to its nuclear program. In
the report, dealing with risks the Iranian nuclear crisis has on
Turkey, it was stated that Turkey may be brought up against Iran in
diplomatic, military and political areas in effort to pull Turkey into
the frustration as well. "The most significant progress that will
empower the US in a military attack on Iran is to bring Turkey against
Iran. It will not be difficult to bring Turkey and Iran to the brink of
a war in a period when Turkey does not know much about Iran and
American-Israeli lobbies are working actively," the ISRO report
warns. The report also recommends Ankara and Tehran should improve
direct contacts to avoid misunderstandings and noted, "Turkey should
increase its efforts, independent of the crisis, to integrate Iran to
the region from economic and other perspectives."
The report reads the increasing strain on Iran may lead to the security
weakness in the borders between Iran and Turkey and "particularly the
PKK can launch attacks making use of the situation. Therefore, the
safety measures in the borders should be stiffened. Also the necessary
negotiations and agreements with Tehran should be made for the
situation of the Iranian side." The report, stating the diplomatic
remedies should be made use to the fullest, suggests Turkey to start
and keep acting as "an active mediator" between Iran and the West.
ISRO articulates that Iran's possession of nuclear weapons is
important for both Turkey and the region; and it can break the balance
between Turkey and Iran. The report summarizes the possible
developments as: "the balances in the region can change to the
advantage of Iran. Iran's attempts to be more efficient and to export
its ideology to the region can mount. Iran can take the leadership of
the Islamic world more seriously, within the atmosphere of clash of
civilizations."

"Arab-Israeli War" can break out with the intervention of Israel.
* Some radical organizations in the Middle East and other regions will
launch suicide attacks against US and its allies.
* Natural gas flow from Iran to Turkey can be halted due to the war and
the insecurity of the region and Turkey can experience a serious energy
shortage.
* An attack to Iran will strengthen the support of the masses of the
regime in this country.
* Iran can harm the interests of US, its allies and Britain.
* Hizbullah in Lebanon can open attacks on Israel.
* Palestine, HAMAS and Islamic jihad organizations can increase its
attacks against Israel.
* Shiites in Afghanistan can attack Kabul and US military bases.
* The possibility of Islam strengthening and spreading faster in the
region will grow.
* Oil prices can reach over $100 and strain the world economy.

Well, they would suffer enormous damage.....both sides included -- if
Turkey & India join the war on the side of Israel, they would be
obliterated.......
$100 a barrel is a gross under-estimation.......
Oil prices will go well in excess of $300 a barrel & totally FRICK up
the global economy........

It is a common tactic used by strategists where a powerful country will
attempt to get other countries to do the dirty work for them and after
the fighting is done rolls in and mops up. Very clever tactic that
saves the expense of fighting wars. The tactic usually goes along the
lines of suggesting to a person of influence that another person or
country is about to do them in. The same tactic can then be repeated on
the other side. Both sides can be played off until the shooting starts.
Iran has a lot of oil I see.
