09. Nostradamus is the author of the so-called Malachy Prophecy
(which also ends in the Summer of 2017).

The third referred to what I wrote, but
was centered upon your own person. Whether you remember or not
seeing me making a particular claim before is a function of your
memory and has nothing to do with the reality of what I post. (A
simple search in Google would have given you all my posts on
whatever subject you would have cared to select.)

French, it is called "la période julienne"). Suffice it to say
that the Julian Period was published by Joseph Juste Scaliger and
named 'Julian' in memory of his father, Jules César Scaliger, as
the son had found it amongst the papers left by his father after
his death.

he was not its author), and as Nostradamus uses it in his works
(an indication that he was its author), and as it was published
by Joseph Juste *after* Nostradamus' death, it is obvious that
Nostradamus could not have gained that knowledge from its later
publication.

Nostradamus refers to it as his long astronomical calculation, as
it is in use today mostly by astronomers, who need a convenient
manner of calculating the number of days between two dates.

As to its use in the Prophecy, Nostradamus knew that the calendar
would be tampered with after his death (by pope Gregory XIII, by
the French Revolution, by the Russian Revolution, etc.), so he
needed a system for dating events which was independent from the
calendar and... he invented it.

It starts January 1, 4713 B.C., at Noon, and lasts 7980 years.

destruction of Paris, August 13, 2017, is... 7980.

pour d'icy à l'an 7 9 7 3, as both the word "yci" and the number
"3797" need to be reversed. And l'an 7973 is the last four digits
of the Julian Day Number of the Lunar eclipse of August 7, 2017,
immediately preceding the destruction of Paris, as it is during
that Lunar year (from Full Moon to Full Moon) that Paris dies.

The statement "Au reuolu du grand nombre septiesme" should be
understood to be a reference to the day (September 2, 2017) when
the last four digits of the Julian dating system end their 7000-
7999 series and start the 8000 series.

As you can see, Nostradamus links day and year in both cases. The
duration of the Julian Period is 7980 years. The Julian Day
number of August 13, 2017, ends with... 7980. The end of Paris.
