This seems like more of a publicity stunt than an effective measure

If they have some credible evidence/intelligence that these people are
linked to terrorism, it seems to me that they'd be far better off
tapping their phone lines and keeping tabs on them than sending them off
the Middle Eastern countries where they can instruct other hardcore
Islamists how All Things British function, make additional contacts, and
engage in planning terrorist activities outside the reach of British
Intelligence (ie - phone taps, etc).
Then, as soon as they sound like they're plotting something, nail them
on charges and lock them away. The only Middle Eastern country that
seems to have its act together in terms of keeping tabs on potential
terrorists is Israel, so that's the only place Britain should be
deporting any potential terrorists to. The rest of them seem very lax.
IMHO, of course.
