SARAJEVO -- Wednesday – The chief United Nations prosecutor has
signed war crimes indictments against three former senior Bosnian
Muslim officials, FoNet news agency reports today.
Citing sources close to the authorities in Sarajevo, FoNet names the
three as former Bosnian Presidency member Ejup Ganic, the wartime
commander of the Bosnian army, Rasim Delic, and Third Corps commander
Sakib Mahmuljin.
Prosecutor Carla del Ponte is reported to have informed the commander
of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia (SFOR), Virgil Packett,
during a visit to Sarajevo yesterday.
The indictment includes war crimes against Croats in central Bosnia,
and Serbs in Ozren and Sarajevo, reports FoNet. The source said that
Del Ponte had informed SFOR that an indictment is being prepared
against former Bosnian police minister Bakir Alispahic.
