You're most probably right. Egypt seems to be the most likely place for
the origins of the wheel.

Most authorities credit it to the Sumerians.

Although there are some indications of it being
invented by the Gallic's who resided in the present France. (Gallic's
by the way were of a different racial background than most of Western
Europe today who have Indo-European origins).

However, Gartland does have a point about the vast majority of
technological advances being made by Europeans. Most technological
advances were a direct result of two main factors: Renaissance and
invention of print. These two factors allowed the brining together of
vast amounts of knowledge accumulated through out ages, and
distribution of this knowledge in large scales. I don't think there is
a direct correlation between technology and IQ.

Gartland is of course wrong about using technological advances as his
yard Stick to measure the worth of races. There are a lot of other
things in life beside technology. Arts and culture are a good example.
Africans, as almost all other races are way ahead of Europeans in those
and many other departments.
