I was notified by my email provider that someone made repeated attempts
to gain access to my email. I use the address that appears on my posts
for very limited purposes (mainly usenet related) so there is really no
information there that is worth the time or trouble of making these
repeated unauthorized attemmpts.
I have no idea who did this, though the person's IP address has been
logged (a US based IP address). I am not accusing anyone on this group
of anything. However, if the person who did it happens to be reading
this, please understand that what you attempted is a crime -- and if
there are any further unauthorized attempts to gain access to my email,
I will follow up accordingly.

I think you should follow up NOW on the matter.
I live on a fixed SSI income of $812 a
month deposited directly to my account
at the B of A. Somebody made a fraud
charge without my knowledge or consent and took $99.95 out of my acct.
The B
of A fraud dept. was notified by me when
I saw it on my bank statement. Today I
got a letter to sign and return to the bank for fradulent deductions
and most likely the bank will credit the $99.95 back to my acct. but,
it may not
be done until the end of this month.
This happened to me last year for $14.95 and 49.99 from some fly by
night 800
number unknown service - when I never
authorized nor even knew of such charges
until my end of the month statement
arrived in the mail. In both cases the
money for both was credited back into my acct. by the bank but, it took
a month
for them to do so in both cases.
There seems to be millions of dollars being taken from other peoples
bank
accts. in small to large amounts by these fake companies - that some
way get the acct numbers to make the fake charges and many of those
people overlook it and
after 30 days they have lost the money
and can't dispute and recover it.
Does all this seem right or wrong?
Our rights, money and privacy seem
to be taken away from us faster than we
can keep it together.

Hey Tom,
Back in December I made a purchase on my Visa debit card for some DVD's
at Best Buy. Shortly after that I started receiving Entertainment Weekly
magazines in the mail - which I tossed in the trash each time. About 6
weeks later a charge was deducted electronically from that same account.
There was a toll free number by the debit and I called them (ET/Weekly)
gave them HELL and they apologized and credited it back within 24 hrs.
I will NEVER shop at BEST BUY again! I searched the internet and found
out this was an ongoing scam with BEST BUY. Now I go to "fye" !!
Always go directly to the source of the withdrawal before you go to your
bank because as you see, it takes much longer to get your money by
disputing it.
Look on your statement and see if there is an 800# by the charge....if
there is call them.

with my MJ silk boxer shorts on my head
because my ***** is way to big to get them
on down there -- anyway I'll prance in with
them on my head in full tye-dye wardrobe
and demand they do something to stop
such things from happening to mew.

So do all these stores that make you get a card like Food Lion's MVP
card in order to get the already inflated SALE PRICE.
I have one with PETSMART, FOOD LION, WINN DIXIE, CVS and ALBERTSONS.
It's neocons tracking what you buy, how much you spend and the courts
can even subpoena that info!
I say we RETALIATE, throw away the savings cards and get new ones but
give them a bogus name and address.

Yea there was an 800 number and I did call it
and some lady on a recording told me something
in some jibberish with a thick India accent then
said we may be open and busy or we may be
closed. Please call back later.
Well, that's some fine business PR for their
scammed out fradulated (is there such a work
--- well there is now) victims! B of A seems
to be onto them from several other disputes
and complaints - I'm surethe FBI will soon be
investigating these slimball ripoff artist.
Meanwhile - I get my $99.95 back in my B of
A acct. I'm just pissed that I don't have use of
it for a month or more. :( I'm sure the bank
is making a few cents on that too at my
expense.
