Thought I'd start off 2day with 2 of the most commonly used
Aussie slang words which have more or less come into regular
usage in the Truly Wondrous land of Oz Down Under !!!!

GOOD DAY - Also g'day, gooday [Elliptical form of (may you) have
a good day. A familiar greeting used frequently and at any hour.
(1887) Illustrated Journal Australasia III.66.
"Not one of them spoke to me except to give me an occasional
'Good day, mate'".
HOOROO - Also hurroo, ooroo, hurray, hurrah. A conventional form
of farewell, 'good-bye'.
(1906) Bulletin (Sydney) 22 Nov.44/4 "Hurrooo. see yer termorrer"
