I'm actually more or less in agreement with you here (and yes, I did

your sarcasm). Notice the ruling regime immediately blamed it on
"Islamic
extremists", presumably because they assumed Bush would give them a
free
hand if that were the case. They are showing their true colours now,
and it
will be intersting to see how it pans out, what with the basing
rights issue
etc.
