Remember those Al-Qaeda operatives, who we were told were hiding out in
Iraq, plotting the downfall of the west? You know, the guys whom the
invasion of Iraq was supposed crush?
Well it turns out that the US is now funding them... go figure!

Israel is also operating in Iran with impunity.

It's a veritable love fest down in 'ole Mesopotamia.
It's kind of dizzying trying to keep up with all these confirmations of
things I'd long suspected to be true. Scarily, even with so many clear
cut confirmations of unethical behaviour by allied forces, there are
people who still believe that we, an invading force, are the good guys.
I think their stances are driven less by the questionable
morality of the situation, than by a need to be part of the 'strongest'
side in the conflict... that human need to belong. I guess they are the
dictionary definition of sheeple in that regard.
Damn... I feel like I'm about to start ranting...

Here in the US I get to hear peoples' views firsthand. The
military parents and families whose 'baby' boy or girl is
entering boot camp and has *already* been promised a tour
in Iraq.. these are the people becoming disillusioned with
the Iraq war. They're not afraid to fight, but they need a
good reason to want to fight. The people I've seen who still
support the war and love watching fox news are usually the
joe 6-packs or people like stevie who have nothing personally
at stake in the fighting (or so they think until the war
comes to our own shores). They're just reeking of fear, and
they're cowards who want other people to do their fighting
for them. Also, many elderly couples
simply follow the fox personalities 'because we've always
done it this way', and are simply inflexible in their
thinking.. they also have no personal stake in the fighting.
