Just thought it was a good idea to see what Nostradamus
might have to say about the occurance of Venus passing
in front of the Sun (from an Earthly view).
Since this will only occur once more in our lifetime (2012)
I thought it could be of some significance.

I have calculated the present prophecies according to the order of the chain
which contains its revolution, all by astronomical doctrine modified by my
natural instinct. After a while, I found the time when Saturn turns to enter on
April 7 till August 25, Jupiter on June 14 till October 7, Mars from April 17
to June 22, Venus from April 9 to May 22, Mercury from February 3 to February
24. After that, from June 1 to June 24, and from September 25 to October 16,
Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Aquarius, Mars in Scorpio, Venus in Pisces,
Mercury for a month in Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces, the Moon in Aquarius,
the Dragon's head in Libra: its tail in opposition following a conjunction of
Jupiter and Mercury with a quadrature of Mars and Mercury, and the Dragon's
head coinciding with a conjunction of the Sun and Jupiter. And the year without
an eclipse peaceful.

i heard it happens every 126 years or so.
down here we've been having clear blue skies for the last two months,
but on the 8th June, it was overcast the whole day until 14:00, which
was 30min after it would have finished traversing the sun. Today
(9th) it is clear blue skies again. i'm really pissed.

It happened in 1873 and 1884, and it will happen again in 2012,
then not til 2117 and 2128.

Well, the only one below Where Venus is conjunct with the Sun in Gemini can only
be 4,28. The rest no. Now if, in the extraordinary pictures we have, we could
see something, it would be incredible, but it could be part of 4,28. Else, it
could be a figure of speech, although the quatrain seems to point to all the
planets exposed to the sun... There was another moment in the past when Venus
was occulted by the light of the Sun, and when all the planet known in the 16th
century were gathered around the Sun. The most famous conjunction occurred when
Napoleon died (May 5th, 1821). Venus was occulted by the light of the Sun, the
other planets were all around there, and a comet appeared... All the known
descriptions of the St-Helen conditions were as it says in the last line,
insalubrious, which in French is the same as unhealthy, unsanitary. The emperor
was withering even with some freedom on Ste-Helene under conditions that were
worse than in prisons on the continent (in those days! - well, according to
historians) and he was dying under their eyes. Of course we know now (for a
couple of years with recent tests) that he was being poisoned with arsenic. But
"Bruit" is not necessarily literal noise here, could be fame, repute, or even
hearsay, in French... We know there was lots of that about him, lies. Anyway. It
would be something else, and something incredible, if someone would see
something in the pics, as I say above (I mean even something else than that a
comet of course, anything).
