At least these clean white young people are not strapping bombs on

No, I think Steven said that it doesn't represent mainstream Christianity,

It's not similar. Are those evangelicals (who are a small percentage
of the US population) causing the same kinds of problems Muslim
extremists are causing? When was the last time you hear of an
evangelical suicide bomber blowing up a marketplace full of innocent
people? When (if) that even starts happening, then you can call those
groups similar.

Not at all, and that's not what I said. I said I'm tired of
*rehashing* old history. We've already had this discussion on this
group, and every time some new troll comes along and wants to rehash
it, it finally gets old. Don't you agree?
You yourself are quite good at dragging up
"older" history...thousands of years "older" when you're attempting to
defend the occupation of Palestine by the Israelis.
We've had that discussion ad nauseum as well, don't you agree? And by
the way, I can remember several discussions where I've tried to talk
about things as they are today, only to have someone else drag up old
history to counter my point. And that's fine, but it's usually been
someone else who drags up old history in an attempt to counter a
present day issue I've raised.
You can't have your cake AND eat it douglas...history is either valid or
it is not!
Of course history is valid, but what's the point of repeating it here,
over and over again? We all know how we feel about certain things, and
I don't feel the need to rehash it with every new troll that comes
along.

Yup.. remember a time when Bin Laden was supposedly "the most wanted
man in the world" according to Bush? Then he was "not really a
priority" - and now there's not even any mention of him at all. It
went from Bin being the "mastermind" to him being forgotten all about

"weapons of mass destruction" .. (which of course turned out to be a
huge farce too).

went from Bin being the "mastermind" to him being forgotten all about
and all the attention went to Iraq and the "imminent threat" and the
"weapons of mass destruction" .. (which of course turned out to be a
huge farce too).
It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see what you and I see, Woods
(actually, it only takes someone with a memory and a little bit of an
attention span) ..yet half of us voted him back in anyway!
It's downright scary if you really think about it.

It is scary. People are going through our schools and half of them are
coming out unable to think for themselves.

I'm tired of rehashing old history.
Bin Laden is "old history"?
Traitor.
Well, Bush has forgotten all about him. So, I guess that makes 2
people...
Yup.. remember a time when Bin Laden was supposedly "the most wanted
man in the world" according to Bush? Then he was "not really a
priority" - and now there's not even any mention of him at all. It
went from Bin being the "mastermind" to him being forgotten all about
and all the attention went to Iraq and the "imminent threat" and the

Let's not forget the invasion and subsequent destabilizing of a borderline
Muslim nation that became both a calling card for Muslims around the world
to join in the terrorism. Which, btw, was stated as a possible
consequence of going into Iraq before Bush lied in order to invade.

What is it about Christians that make so many, secular and non-secular,
seriously question whether they've ever read and clearly understood their
own doctrine?
Could it be...stupidity? Ego? Hmmm....attention deficit disorder? It is a
large book...lots of words to read...takes a long time to plow through.
LOL!

Ohnoooooooo! That's surprisingly similar to what a lot of "Christians" do
- take someone else's word for what the Bible means, and then look up in
the Bible what they're told to look up in "support" of their study books.
