how does it all stack up with The Spirit of Truth

Your English interlinear translation gets a failing grade.
That's because they are tryng to use a LATIN edition to "explain" the
English translation that was made from the GREEK text.
The Latin text was itself a translation of a GREEK text in this case,
so they are trying to use a translation of one language to compare to
a different translation. Translating from Greek into Latin into
English is NEVER as good as translating directly from Greek into
English. You lose a certain amount in each translation, TWICE as much
when you go thru two layers of translation as when you go through one.
Perhaps they should consider a GREEK/English translation. It would be
much better.
