Yes, I did enjoy the movie. It was very entertaining. What I didn't
understand fully was the role of the reporter. In the movie he was
appointed the media liaison for the guy who became the anti-christ. I
wasn't sure whether he rejected that as he wasn't deceived by him. The
last scene shows him going into a church but I wasn't really sure what
his intent was. It didn't seem quite right. If you've read the book or
seen the movie, I'd be interested in your thoughts too.
The website the original poster of this thread points us to, asserts
that the book teaches a false premise, that is; that a person can
receive the "mark of the beast" and still be saved. As far as I
understand it, if you receive the "mark of the beast" then you have
taken a stand against God.
There was a poster here a few months back, who asserted that the
identity chips being manufactured now will be inserted into everyone,
either in the hand or the forehead. This can be done because the chips
are supposed to be the size of a grain of rice. I was just asking the
original poster of this thread's point of view on the matter.
My point of view on the chips is that I will refuse to have one. Now,
I truly believe that whether these constitute the "mark of the beast"
or not they are a threat to my personal liberty. I believe that
whatever the "mark of the beast" is, no-one will be in any doubt that
it is the mark. I also know that I will be very scared when the time
comes to say "No" because the consequences of saying "No" will be
death. I pray that my faith in the promise of Jesus will remain strong
so that I can overcome my body's natural inclination to say "let me
live"
As for my profound knowledge. I really don't have any. When I write to
you, I ask God to help me. I do my best not to lean on my own
understanding, but of course, being human, my feelings will influence
my thoughts. As for understanding me, good luck :o) I have a lot of
trouble understanding myself. But ask me anything and I will answer
you truthfully, that may help.

to people that they should turn to God. I have no contention with you
on this matter. Anyone who exhorts people to turn to God brings God's
message to those people. You might do it with a metaphorical sledge
hammer :o) but you still do it. No, what I say to you, is that you
have no authority to judge. I have noticed that you haven't judged
anyone for a few days and I commend you for that. Now don't think that
because I have commended you or admonished you that I feel myself to
be in anyway more wise, superior or smarter than you. I do not. I
don't do this to make myself look good. In fact, I groan inside when I
see you doing it. Look, we all fall short of the Glory of God but we
have someone pleading our case and that is Jesus. He pleads my case.
He pleads your case and he pleads the cases of all his devoted
servants.
I'm not sure about your reference to Thomas. Are you saying that the
Gospel of Thomas points to you? I will have to see if I can get a copy
of it and read it. I know it's on the web somewhere. As far as I
understand, it contains quotes of Christ's words without any comment.
