In her recent testimony to the 9/11 commission, Condoleeza Rice
testified
that President Bush was provided with inadequate intelligence.
Yep, people have been underestimating the "dummy" from Texas for many
years. This won't be the first
time.
He's just barely intelligent enough to be dangerous. Historically,
economically, fiscally, geopolitically and administratively ignorant and
naive, an arrogant cavalier "what the hell are *you* gonna do about it?"
Wild West cowboy attitude, and his obvious pathological faith in himself as
the Savior of Truth, Democracy and the American Way appointed by God to
bring it to the rest of the world, whether they realize they need and want
it, or not. He is the quintessential 'ugly American', the very embodiment of
the nation he leads: arrogant, full of bravado, ignorant, self-serving, and
quite without empathy or a conscience. 'Monster American' would be more apt.
He's almost smart enough to realize that he isn't smart enough to pull off
the Iraqi (mis-)adventure by his own wits, so he will rely on the wits of
those whose counsel lead him into the 'Mess-o-Potamia' that is Iraq in the
first place. "Stay the course, George, stay the course...stick to the
Agenda" his neocon (neo-fascist) advisers keep whispering into his ear as he
apparently tends to get distracted by truth and reality on occasion, as Paul
O'Neill intimated on 60 Minutes a few months ago.
Ever notice how flustered and speechless the man becomes when confronted
one-on-one when being interviewed or before the Press when they ask him too
many honest questions? Ever notice how much time he spends on his ranch? At
least 70% of the man's time is spent in Crawford puttering around his spread
in Texas, jogging or fishing for bass in his little brown pond. Apparently
governing the nation, especially in wartime makes his head hurt too much.
I'm not underestimating the threat that the man poses to world peace. As he
would say, "Make no mistake about it."
Whether he himself is inherently, innately 'evil' is immaterial, because
it's not George W. Bush who is *actually* making the decisions affecting the
rest of the world, as he is too stupid and ignorant to make decisions of
that calibre. It is those who surround the man, and those who control
*them*, namely the Global Corporate Neo-Fascists (aka neoconservatives), the
same group Dwight D. Eisenhower warned Americans about in his farewell
speech some 45 years ago, known then as the 'military-industrial alliance'.
Ring a bell? Every President since Ike has had to deal with their constant
influence to one degree or another, and managed to withstand them to one
degree or another. Vietnam was their creation, btw, as were most of the rest
of the American foreign 'adventures' around the world.
But George W. Bush has distinguished himself from all those before him in
the fact that he has forfeited *all* his personal influence and direction of
the American Executive Branch to these people, 100%. Again, make *no*
mistake: They will *not* allow their unlimited power to pass to the
Democrats in November, no matter *what* happens.
And so, may God have mercy on us all. It all ends in September.

Ignorance abounds in many circles, Jean. I only hope it is us who are the
ignorant ones. I would much prefer the enemies of the planet to be those
ol' stereotypical historical figures, like Joseph Stalin, Napoleon
Bonaparte, and, of course, Dr. Evil. Let's hang onto our mojo's and see
who's behind door number four.

You are right, when you look at who furnished the weapons of terror to Kimi, and
to Iran etc... Who would have guessed... I course it was easy to guess in
retrospect, but those who sell out the future of the world do not threaten
outwardly themselves, even though what they do is much worse.
And to think there won't be action taken against this... is beyond me.

Well, in general, I verify, but i assume that most people are sincere, what is
the point of posting otherwise?
Me, I write the truth, and I point to discrepancies with it. Don't you?
Sure, there are as well many losers are on this NG just to spread lies, like
ZaaaakaSS and all his sympathizers, but there is no brain to argue with, behind
the "façade", of the anti-semites who pollute here. But here we are talking
about those who are serious. I mean people who matter on usenet, outside these
losers, let's say that in general, they don't contradict themselves every other
post...
Must say, I still have to see "wompwomp" say anything sensible about Nostradamus...
I doubt one should disbelieve anything one reads on usenet, but indeed, maybe
"wompwomp" is just a clown, maybe his philosophical "façade" is totally devoid
of any sense. And in the case of mere emptiness, indeed, there is not much, if
anything, to believe.

Sincere doesn't mean knowledgeable.
And many, MANY people post garbage, JUST because they can.
