First world record in Swimming
USA's Michael Phelps won the gold medal and broke his previous world
record in the Men's 400m Individual Medley, with time 4:08:26.
(Previous record: 4:08:41) This is the first Swimming world record
which is broken during the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games
Olympic record in Men's 100m Breaststroke
USA's Brendan Hansen broke the Olympic record in the Men's 100m
Breaststroke, achieving time 1:00:01 in the semifinals.

Womens 4 x 100 Relay
1st Australia with a new *world* record of 3:35.94
(Prev WR was 3:36.00 IIRC)
US a close 2nd....
And....
Ian Thorpe won the 400m for the second time, Murray Rose was the
only other swimmer to do this.....
What was the name of the country again?
Which one? ;^)
In the pool, Australia or the USA, the rest are only making up the numbers
(ok, except for one Dutch girl.....)

You were breaking records before it even opened mcdonald. A record
number of your cheating athletes were tested positive for performance
enhancing drugs and kicked out!

BUSHES" competition,

It is not fair to the athletes of the world who train all their lives
for this only to have someone try and cheat them out of it.

We do not support this in any way and are certainly not proud of it.
We are proud of our honest athletes for their accomplishments.
I doubt I'll be watching too much of it. I'll be just as happy to read
about in the news

Yes but with druggies making compounds slightly ahead of the testing
body, it is indeed a hard task to ensure drug free, maybe the Drug
Companies could have a Drug Olympics, and leave the real folk to the
games.
How come Carl Lewis is free of the scandal of his efforts ?
