My thanks to Mondo for his wishes, and to Doc for his spider!
This is how I 'disgraced' myself yesterday, my 62nd damned birthday!
It was fun. Growling at old ladies, snarling at children. Fun. I don't
think those I met thought so...still, who cares, it was my special
day!

ROFL!!! ... :-0 !! I can well understand the local consternation of lil'
ol' ladies and kids. I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday, and the spider,
too.
What is that hanging from your neck (the longer one)??

Oh, every now and then Woodsy. The people who do are normally in a
'safe' place though. Customs/Security etc at airports, people like
that.?
I have no idea why, but people as a rule avoid me. Jude say's it's
because I scowl rather a lot. I don't mean to, just deep in thought I
suppose.
It's really quite strange. The only people who might nod and say
'Hello' are those who look like passing scum just released from
prison. Ordinary people tend to cross the road.
I've never really understood that at all. No matter, I like things

That's interesting because I'm like that too. People will not make a first
move to approach me. They always seem afraid of me and avoid eye contact. I
don't like strangers anyhow. Still I wonder what I'm actually doing that's
causing them to be cautious. It used to bother me a lot but not much in the
past year or so. I'm just shy and people can sense that I just prefer to be
left alone.

One can experiment with a facial scowl and see the results. I've seen
***** drivers in cars tailing me back off as I put on my worst scowl
face, and make it a point to use the outside rear mirror to glare at 'em.
I mean, really stare and glare, wrinkle up my nose, squint my eyes
(unblinking), tighten my cheeks, purse my lips....heeheehee, works almost
every time. The feeling of empowerment comes over me -- yes, from just a
well-developed scowl!! LOL! I've noticed the same results shopping in a
store and, even when I'm not making the effort, and I simply feel shitty
that day, I have more people keeping their distance, being a bit more
uneasy, and even more polite..."I'm sorry, sir...uh, excuse me, sir,"
spoken a bit sheepishly as they move around me more carefully.
heeheheeeheeheehee...the world's a stage...Wolfy, I'm sure, understands
fully...

Well...heehee...yes, I've taken it to the 'next level' a handful of times
over the many years of driving the insane roadways.
I got outta' the car at a stop sign, confronted the hairy ***** who kept
honking her horn at me one day --
"Is there something wrong with my tail lights or somethin', lady?"
"No...just get moving faster. Just go, will you. Go!"
"Mam...how'yd like me to rip your tits clean off and stuff 'em down your
fuckin' throat?"
I went on. She dropped way back. The honking stopped.

Lots of people are shy, mondo. I used to be terribly shy, until I
realized that everyone has a fragile ego that gets bruised by apparent
slights - that helped me to be a bit more outgoing and inclusive of others.
I consider shyness to be one of the worst disabilities anyone could have -

You could have inherited a "scowl" gene. I know someone at work whose
facial expression always looks like a scowl, but it's actually just the
way her eyebrows and cheeks are. She inherited them from her grandmother.

One bonus Randy. the rain stopped for just that one day, 27 July, so
that made the day better.
I was driving back down the motorway...as a Were-Tiger, and other
drivers frequently stared in, well, in disbelief I suppose..;)
I wanted to go out to the shops like that, but Jude didn't really seem
enthusiastic about coming along with me. Heaven knows why!
Even my two cats looked at me quizically before turning away with a
distainful air.
But it was silly, and I enjoyed it...;) Like walking on the grass, it
said, 'I don't care' to the world in my own small way.
