Hay man.
What did you think of the French voting no? I'm curious what the
dutch/european papers are saying. Down here in New Zealand we do not tend
to get the european prospective, which is sad.
Take care

Typical obstructionistic French. It appears the losers voted no. The unemployed and the unskilled.
Basically those that can't compete in the world marketplace. It really doesn't surprise me. Europe
basically has this penis envy thing going with America. United States------United States of Europe.
The postage stamp countries just can't get it up. Maybe Viagra might assist. :-)

Sorry Daniel, didn't have a chance to reply to this until now. Yep the
French said no...to what? Nobody knows. All the EU countries have their
own constitutions, with the exception of GB, and I suspect that they
study it in school as they're growing up. Now the EU want to have a
Euro constitution ratified on top of the national ones. But they made a
very big mistake...no one knows, except for the politicians what's in
it. Nobody's read it. It's a big thick legal document full of legal
*****. So what people were asked to do was to vote for something
that they haven't a clue about. Not surprising they said no. The Dutch
rejected it too. Another problem was that the "yes" people went around
telling people how negative it would be for Europe if it was rejected
instead of saying how positive it would be if it was ratified....do you
see what I mean? It was all negative from the kick-off.
Anyway I reckon this'll be the same as the Maastrich treaty of a few
years ago. They'll wait a few years and try again and so forth until it
is ratified. Let's hope they've, (the politicians), have learned their
lesson now and present it properly next time. There's no hurry with it.
It' doesn't in any way affect the EU.
Links:
www.unison.ie (to read it you have to register but it's free) from
there you'll find links to newspapers in Ireland, (mainly), England, N.
Zealand :-) and S. Africa. If I want more than that I usually do as
everyone else and search google.
Welcome back again :-) Hope all's well.

Wow! It appears the average American was more informed on the EU proposal that the
French...........and perhaps all of Europe?
The vote came too late in France. If it was taken during the early days of the Iraq war it would of
passed on the tidal wave of anti-American sentiment. I'll predict the vote will come around again in
2-3 years. Next time it's architects and supporters will use anti-American sentiment to help push it
through. There was a hint of it from Chirac. Next time they'll turn up the rhetoric. Especially
with the long overdue pullout of US forces from Europe. An EU superstate could be sold as a way to
build up a military. Wee, fun.

OK then dimwanker, let's hear your view of the proposed new EU
constitution? I s'pose you've got a copy of it haven't you as has the
"average" yank? More informed my arse, the average American hasn't a
fuckin' clue where Europe is, nevermind anything about their politics.

What are you waffling on about you silly fucker. What have the thick
yanks got to do with it? You think that the proposed constitution is
anti-American?
Silly *****. There's no limit to the stupidity of you nutty yanks is

There's also a list of online newspapers/magazines @

(WH probably has more. Given the time differences, 6:26pm my time
probably 11:26pm his time, figured this can give you a start until he's
