Can anyone tell me what would happen in our respective countries if a major
war broke out with say the whole middle east? We all know how passionate the
Muslims can be about their religion, I mean look at the fiasco that was
caused by a few poxy cartoons. So if a war broke out what would we do with
the millions of Muslims in the UK and USA etc... We couldn't trust them.
During the 2nd world war all the Germans were put in camps and looked after
until the war was over but that wouldn't be feasible today.
Just a thought that's all.

I think it depends on how the muslims in Europe and the USA will react.
Most
likely scenario is that will start rioting in the European cities. The more
they riot
and cool their anger on the native European's possesions there will be a
mood-
swing in Europe against the muslims. Extreme right groups will have a
booming
time and perhaps nazis will gain power again in Europe taking draconic
measures to tackle the problem. There is already resentment against muslims
in
the European nations. It will not be too difficult to enlarge this. Native
Europeans
will keep a low profile until the muslims cross a certain red line. Then the
thin
layer of vernisage of multiculturalism will be removed.

now. It's inconceivable that they could join forces to defy all Western
Powers.

As an answer to your question, it wuld not be too difficult to use
emergency powers to detain Nationals of 'enemy' states resident in the
Uk...or anywhere in Europe for that matter. The difference of course
lies in that word, 'Nationals'. Many of the resident European Muslims
are in fact Nationals of the country they have adopted. Many are
second/third generation 'Englishmen', 'French' etc. Look at the numbers
of Pakistan/Indian residents in the Uk. Most are Muslims.
Internment would only allow for foreign enemies of the State. That
would rule out a very large percentage of the Muslim community.
Any joint ME 'armageddon' would fail within a day or so. The entire
world, from China to Russia, from Europe to America would see to the
affair.
I'll sleep easily enough with your thought. It's a nightmare that
cannot occur.

It may take time to become homogenous, but if a focussed leader emerged
to a common threat, it is not unconcievable that they would invade to
remove the sleight of years previous.

Yep...Not inconceivable, but not likely in my view either.
The idea of a new series of modern 'crusades'..but in reverse...seems
untenable. In relation to the numbers of Muslims, the zealots are very
few indeed.
In military terms, the combined 'might' of the ME would not pose much
of a threat on a world scale. Terrorist action does cause
problems...But not problems that involve full scale warfare. It's not
simply the Western Nations that will have to be 'overcome' by a ME
'Blitzkrieg', it's the rest of the world. Europe, Russia, Japan,
Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Australia, Africa, China, America, S America
etc etc etc.

Totally agree with you on this one 'Wolfy' (I think).
It won't be battle lines draw along actual geographical borders, but a battle line drawn
between "Believes".
This could be extremely difficult for many countries that have a "multi-cultural" inhabitance.
Many of these countries may be very slow to actually join in any type of Religious WAR !!!
But, I do think that some type of Religious War is 'brewing' - even if its not for the right
reasons. [Too much hatred for the Americans and Israelis in the ME (Middle East).] (The ME, I
like that reference - kinda like "The OC" - an American TV show about Orange County,
California, USA. And for anyone that hasn't been there, it is a unique society all on its own
!!!)

dissent that would give fuel for some conflict.

determine, just what sort of reaction is required.

administration, and the partition will be those that started the
Partition.
