They're saying they want to go home, and that Bush and his
Administration got them into Iraq on the pretext of a series of lies,
and that yes, Sadam is an evil man, and the Insurection is the
result of an invasion of a sovereign country.

Did you make that up? Or do you have a source to back you up?
Apparently, from what I've been reading here lately, no sources are

They're saying they want to go home, and that Bush and his
Administration got them into Iraq on the pretext of a series of
lies,
and that yes, Sadam is an evil man, and the Insurection is the
result of an invasion of a sovereign country.
Did you make that up? Or do you have a source to back you up?
Apparently, from what I've been reading here lately, no sources are
required to make up stupid accusations.
It's what I hear from soldiers every day, at least in the military
bases I've been living and working at in Iraq.
Nothing like "from the horse's mouth" as a true, indisputable source,
I would say. But you're going to have to quote it from a NeoCon news
source before Steven will even bother to believe it...even then it
isn't so certain.
Your friend tw disparaged me for quoting something that I had
"heard"...do
you think he would find this guy's hearsay more valid than mine?
Dunno. Were you living and working in any military bases in Iraq?
Actually, I'm not sure this guy was, either...just a hunch.
I suppose there is such things as "first-hand" sources and a "hearsay"
sources. I'm not familiar with what it was that you heard, so I can't
comment on its validity, Jane. Ask Tom what he thinks.

I heard from enlisted, officers at three bases I've been living at in
Iraq. Their words, my ears. Does that mean it's "hearsay" ?
In case of an event you must be there in person. As far as deals and
worded agreements are concerned: 'Their words, my ears' suffices in a
court of law.
Note that it is first hand knowledge. Hearsay of deals and ageements
are if one soldier told you what another solider told him. Thus you
were not a witness first hand to what the first solder said. Then you
tried to pass it on to a judge and jury as fact.
PS: You do not need the "," in front of officers - just leave it
empty, otherwise the sentence is cumbersome to read. You did not need
it and I actually think it is illegal because an 'officer' is the main
noun in the prepositional phrase: ' from.' It would be OK if it were a
adjective.
I suppose there is such things as "first-hand" sources
A bit off topic, But here is a first source: At least according to
Homer. And not Homer Simpson ;)
Apelles, who was greatly honoured and cherished for his genius by
Alexander the great and who, as we see in Lucian, brilliantly
investigated the nature of slander and false favour.
The Iliad, Book XVIII. & Giorgio Vasari 'The Lives of the Artists'
Vol. 1 [ Spellings of honoured and favour are spelled correctly, as
in the book. 16th Cent.]

When the NeoCons decry "leftist propaganda" sources, the Liberals
decry the "rightist propaganda" sources - so what sources do you want?
Or should I perhaps ask what sources you would like? Or what sources

I'd settle for the New York Times or Washington Post. I don't think
those newspapers would hold back if there was a crisis in morale among
US troops in Iraq. Of course there will be a percentage of troops that
are unhappy with that duty. That does not signify a large scale crisis
in troop morale. We'd hear about it from those two newspapers if that
was the case.

There is definitely a small percentage of our soldiers who
go crazy from the fighting. Every time you hear of a 'death
from non-combat gun shot wound' it's probably a suicide.
