What will Bush's economy be like one month before Election 2004 ?
____________________________________________________________________
In November 2004, America will be the largest debtor nation on the planet.
The sorry crew in the White House already owe everybody money.
All the foreigners together, have it within their power to collapse Bush's
dollar any time they choose, by simply turning-off the capital flow.
Who are these foreigners, who, one month before Election Day,
will be propping-up the Bush economy with their money ?
The Chinese, the Russians, the Japanese, and the Europeans.

Mostly the Japaneese and the Europeans. Russia and China are not that
significant in the currency markets. But if the dollar collapses, Japan and
Europe will hurt right along with America. And I mean they would hurt
badly.
The major reason that America is in the spot we're in is that we buy more
overseas items than we sell in overseas markets. This has had little impact
on the American economy until very recently, but people holding the American
dollar have now begun to worry if we can sustain our trade deficit and
continue to honor our debts.
Now, if the dollar were to collapse completely, every one of our creditors
would be left holding worthless paper, figuratively speaking. Some smaller
nations which have underpinned their own currencies with the American dollar
would also suffer economic collapse. Finally, because the dollar was now
useless, trade to the USA would all but cease. That's a lot of Japaneese
and European exporters out of work.
It's a funny thing about global economics that your adversaries are your
partners. You want an advantage over them, but you do not want to destroy
them.

The U.S. has been the largest debtor nation for years.
Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, etc.

The Chinese are using their money to reinvest in themselves.
The Russians don't have enough money.
The Japanese are about to make one more attempt to prop up the U.S.
dollar and may start selling it off if the current U.S. administration
doesn't take action to help the dollar.
The Europeans have already given up on the U.S. Dollar.

The Chinese are using their money to reinvest in themselves.

They are spending 80 billion dollars to clean up land pollution. They
need American dollars to survive. That limits their ambitions.

Why in the world would these countries want to "prop up" this
administration, when the leftist democraps also insist "the entire world
hates the USA"?
A pretty stupid combination of ideas.COMMON SENSE!!!!

Trade.

Yep.....the US doesn't have friends, just trading partners.

How would you define "friends" in this context? Can you give some examples
of countries you feel do have friends and who their friends are, and then
explain how those friendships are more valid than those of America/Japan,
America/Britain, America/Ireland, America/Israel, America/Turkey,
America/Romania?
Bear in mind that, for any given country, people can be found within
virtually every other country on Earth who hate it. Certainly, though this
is also true of the United States, it cannot be used to exclude friendship
between those nations, or there could be no such thing as friendship between
any two nations.
I look forward to your reply.

How would you define "friends" in this context?

I would consider a country a "good friend" if they rejoiced in the
good fortune of another with no expectation of gain materially or
otherwise on their part.

Odd that Canada and Mexico are not on your list.
I only have first hand experience
with our two border countries and the carribean but i would gues that
of the above list most like us be cause of our "super power" status.
In Mexico and the Carribean it
is not difficult to spot a "yankee". Too often they will be the ones
complaining
or demanding special treatment. We are tolerated because of our
wealath and not
our kindness and love for our fellow man. A friend you have to buy
won't be worth much.
Of course, there are many exceptions. People are people and most
usually end up
similar to their leaders.
