WHAT'S NEXT PEOPLEZ ?!?!?!?!??! |
The EQ has been upgraded to 9.2 - the largest since the 1600's.
There have been 40 aftershocks of 5.0 and greater. The earth lost 3
milliseconds in time; the island of Sumatra has been shifted almost 200
feet from its original position; the earth's axis and rotation have
been affected.
Is the earth going to settle down, or is this the beginning of more
earth changes? Where do we go from here?

LOL. Well, it DID change in places, but not due to any kind of natural
disaster.
Spectacular though it may seem , the main damage here has been loss of life,
about
which nature is quite indifferent. For all practical purposes, the planet
is unaffected.
To get global consequences you need a supervolcano to let go or a whack from
a
really big asteroid.
Both are extremely rare events.

The end of the iron and fuedal ages and the beginning of age of enlightenment, expansion
of the industrial revolution and the european-mediteranean rennaissance, if you define
the world in terms of human development maybe? If you are talking in centuries you must
be using a human calculus as geologically a millenium is scarcely a heartbeat. There
were some major earthquakes caused by subduction in the plates in the pacific, the med
and off the coasts of Africa in the 1600's. Minor, short-term events when you consider
Australia was once sub-polar in the antartic circle and had perm-frost, 150 millions of
years ago.

wobbly, elliptical orbit around a screaming hot ball of burning gas called the Sun.

Have you forgotten the Dark Ages. An un-explainable phenomon that
cast the whole world in to a period of darkness. (Read your History
Books)
This was not a story to amuze (and scare) people. It was a time in
history when everyone questioned their Faith, and loss of life was an
acceptable Reality. - and it happened approx 1000 yrs ago.
Life is Cyclonic, and the cycle is due to come around again.

Yeah probably is but you would have to sift through a lot of sand before you find a
nugget...you have to realize that the earth is vibrating and chattering constantly due
to enormous stress caused by the geomagnetic feild. If we did not have same, we'd fly
off madly in all directions. The earth is actually speeding up over enormous time span
and tilts variably on its axis (Wobbles). As it shrinks it speeds up like a figure
skater. Feel Dizzy?
Speeding up a spinning mass that wobbles, indefinitely, will have catastrophic result
eventually, as the ball or wheel will leave its axis when it becomes unstable. Better
renew the meds prescription!

Actually 'Lazimodo' is on the right track. I wouldn't normally defend
someone here, but I think this person has the 'correct' attitude.
That said, I think this person needs to expand on their horizons:
1) The Earth (and the Universe) is an ever changing landscape -
nothing can be predicted by past experiences.
2) The affects of all that is around us (ie: Universe) is also an
ever changing landscape - and has a MAJOR affect on the Earth's Past
and Future events !!!
3) The Universe's affects on the Earth are in Cycles, and most
effects should be measured Logrithmically, not Linear. - this is the
biggest downfall of modern day scientists!!! ( just look at the
revolving cycles of our current comets and meteors for proof. -
although ever changing, their paths can be pre-predicted based on a
logrithmic scale. )
Using these RULES of Analysis, and, maybe someday 'Lazimodo' will be
the next Albert Einstien.
Just A Thought.

I think you may be on to something
with that duck invasion. Just yesterday
while I was on a short road trip to the
pacific coast near Point Arena I saw
two Canadian geese (aka ducks) ( I
know they don't class them as a duck
but, I do - so there) and they were taking
over a river mouth that opens and empties
into the ocean - chasing all the seagulls
away with great vigor.
Surely this is a sign of the end times!

Nuke all the large cities, take away their guns, and give them free
health care. Once that's complete, then USA might have a chance to
learn something from Canada.
Although, even here in Canada, I've seen a murder about every other day
for the last two months. I think it's always been the same murder.

Don't know if you are stuck in the 60's or what, but this is a good
way to show that people can be so totally brainwashed by either side.
Then again, maybe it was just sarcasm. (I hope so!) Because I assume
