countries give themselves a leg up? The US, for all it's crowing about open
markets and free trade, still can't follow it's own advice and opertate in a
truely open market/free trade situation (agricultural and corporate
subsidies/welfare)... why should anyone care what you hypocrites say

Of course a staggering amount of that debt was aquired "protecting" Europe.
Actually I'll be somewhat amused when the American economy "tanks". Given that our nation has such a
difficult time taking responsibility, it'll have to find a scapegoat. Given America's high level of
national pride it shouldn't be hard to do. Also, Canada relies on America to sell 80% of their
products produced. We "tank"..........they "tank". You think starving Canadians won't need a
scapegoat too? Then of course there's the huge financial investment in China by US firms. And the
fact that China pegs their currency to the dollar.
Now that brings us to these issues. What country has the most powerful military by a long shot? Hmm,
how many warheads does the US have in it's arsonal? How many nuclear subs? Gee, by the time the
American economy "tanks" we should have space based weapons. Who knows, maybe they're already up
there? It should make for a very nice earth bound adventure once America "tanks".
BTW, careful for what you wish for.

Space weapons... LOL

Well thank you. You obviously have more faith in the American people doing the next right thing than
the German people did during their economic meltdown in the 1930's. Too bad I don't share your
faith. It's gonna be ugly, son.

there's the huge financial investment in China by US firms. And the fact
that China pegs their currency to the dollar.

Now that brings us to these issues. What country has the most powerful

I guess you'll find out what that means eventually, and it doesn't entail
the US military gingerly trapsing the country side, shaking down willing

I mean, having an enormous military didn't help much in Vietnam, did it?

False. Plenty of examples avaliable - start with Russia.

Be it Germany or the brutal Roman empire in it's last days.

I see you don't have a clue about Roman History either.. I'll add it to the
ever-expanding list of Dreamtalker ignorance.

Both had their scapegoats be it real, amplified, or imagined.

Really? Who were the Romans' scapegoats then?

These facts are based in historical reference.

LOL!

Your country would do the same. To deny such a reality

Countries who suffered economic collapse and lashed out: Germany
Countries who suffered economic collapse and didn't lash out: Everyone
except Germany in the 30's, Russian in the 90's, Somalia in the 90's etc
etc.

is intellectually dishonest.

Wheras you are no intellectual and have been caught in your dishonesty

The onset of an economic collapse in America would result from a

And off he goes into dream world..
1) What Islamic hardliners have access to nukes?
2) What Islamic hardliners have access to nukes with delivery vehicles that
can reach the US?
3) Why woudln't they be worried about retaliation from either the US or the

you just made that up, to make Islam your 'scapegoat'
Making Islam your scapegoat doesn't help the situation at all, and would
serve only to hasten your downfall. Making a religious group your scapegoat
is about the worst thing you could have picked. There is no greater
unifying force than an attack on the common beliefs of a large group of
people.

The American people, as they see their homes, jobs, and lives disappear,
will scream for vengence. If the sitting president doesn't provide them
with satisfaction, they'll replace him with someone that will.

The American people will just have to live with the legacy of it's
leaders... you can't have vengence where there is nothing to avenge, unless
you start making things up, like blaming an entire religious for your
woes...
Do you think Germans these day are proud of what their country did 60-70
years ago? Why would you support such action on behalf of your own nation?
The only reason I can see, is pure, unadulterated greed and self concern...
and if past experiences are anything to go by, you'll gladly wear that
feather in your hat... congratulations! You have won a loverly Brown
Shirt!

bahahaha, sure dw... What, the US can't handle the competition when other
countries give themselves a leg up? The US, for all it's crowing about open
markets and free trade, still can't follow it's own advice and opertate in a
truely open market/free trade situation (agricultural and corporate
subsidies/welfare)... why should anyone care what you hypocrites say anymore?

Pussies.

Exactly what is Europe and it's postage stamp size countries good for? I say get Amercan
troops out of there and bring back the iron curtian. You deserve it. Oh by the way, seems
like you've got bigger trouble than America.

Sure.. Most of Europe's militaries are bogged down in guerilla combat in Iraq, and have
an economies that are spiraling downward, out of control, further and further into debt...

Oh wait.. that's America.

France.... LOL. Thank goodness they're your neighbors.

LOL! Look everyone, Mr. Military Strong Man is displaying his punch-drunk geography
skills!

FYI, you live a whole hemisphere closer to France than I do, not that I could care less.
Douche bag.

Oh excuse me. I thought you were from Europe. Sorry, but my life doesn't revolve around
APN.

Yes, yes. Europe is experiancing such profound economic growth. Shrinking wages and
misplaced workers as the eastern bloc will work for peanuts. Oh, and then there's France.
LOL

LOL! Yeah, so ahh, you know that whole US dollar thing... how it's like, tanking big time,
and is expected to fully implode about the same time that oil traders stop using US dollars
as their standard currency, and switch to the Euros... Oh, and all that outsourcing... you
guys are seeing alot of your jobs being shipped off shore too, so don't pretend that the
'misplaced workers' problem is unique to Europe, infact I gather it's a much larger problem
for America. Of course, how could one rip on America's economy without taking a stab at that
ballooning national debt?

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

Essentially, new born US citizens have over $26000 dollars in debt before they draw their
first breath... and this social security *****? Well, we don't even need to go there...

<sarcasm>
Yeah, America sure is standing on solid economic ground
</sarcasm>

Of course a staggering amount of that debt was aquired "protecting" Europe.

Actually I'll be somewhat amused when the American economy "tanks". Given that our nation has
such a difficult time taking responsibility, it'll have to find a scapegoat. Given America's
high level of national pride it shouldn't be hard to do. Also, Canada relies on America to
sell 80% of their products produced. We "tank"..........they "tank". You think starving
Canadians won't need a scapegoat too? Then of course there's the huge financial investment in
China by US firms. And the fact that China pegs their currency to the dollar.

Now that brings us to these issues. What country has the most powerful military by a long
shot?

I guess you'll find out what that means eventually, and it doesn't entail the US military
gingerly trapsing the country side, shaking down willing victims. Brace for massive
resistences, not just from other militaries.

I mean, having an enormous military didn't help much in Vietnam, did it? Now bring that idea
home.

Hmm, how many warheads does the US have in it's arsonal? How many nuclear subs? Gee, by the
time the American economy "tanks" we should have space based weapons. Who knows, maybe
they're already up there? It should make for a very nice earth bound adventure once America
"tanks".

Space weapons... LOL

BTW, careful for what you wish for.

Don't you worry about me... I'll cope

Well thank you. You obviously have more faith in the American people doing the next right thing
than the German people did during their economic meltdown in the 1930's. Too bad I don't share
your faith. It's gonna be ugly, son.

Ahhh, did you just imply America is heading down the same road as Nazi Germany? And given that,
your constant defense of America's actions equates to defending the Nazi Germany for it's
actions?

Slap on the schwastika dw, you've chosen you side...

Why would I imply that America is heading down the same road as Nazi Germany?

I have no idea why you said what you did...

You've already made up you mind on that topic. I'd simply be preaching to you, tw, and the rest
of the anti-US choir boys.

I'm simply pointing out the obvious. Any country that becomes poverty striken from an economic
collapse will lash out. Be it Germany or the brutal Roman empire in it's last days. Both had
their scapegoats be it real, amplified, or imagined. These facts are based in historical
reference. Your country would do the same. To deny such a reality is intellectually dishonest.
The onset of an economic collapse in America would result from a multi-pronged nuclear attack by
Islamic hardliners.

I agree with most of what you've said here, up until this last sentence... you just made that up,

Hardline Islam made themselves a scapegoat on 9/11. We aim to please.

Few more thoughts.
Please be real. You can't compare Vietnam to the outcome of an economic collapse in America. Here is
America we have people who are used to having what they want when they want it. We're the land of
fast food. Two weeks on an empty belly usually doesn't bring out the "peaceniks". People get angry
and governaments form scapegoats. Remember the Jews?
You have to change your entire thought process on this one. When America goes down she'll be much
more dangerous than the USSR. It's the difference between beating a beaten dog with bad teeth and
beating an entitled dog with enormous canines. A wounded entitled dog always takes a big bite. Have
a nice day.

I wasn't, I was using it as an example where having a huge army didn't win
the war.

they want it. We're the land of fast food. Two weeks on an empty belly

Yeah, so ahh... you're justifying the Nazi's extermination of Jews... what
does that make you?

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the
dog.
You can be guaranteed that if the US started flexing it military muscle
against innocent groups of people or countries, you'll see the situation
you're seeing in Iraq (the insurgency) everywhere it touches ground. Can
the US cope with *more* insurgencies? I doubt it... not without a draft,
and even then, I doubt it would make much difference.
the draft... how will your fast food culture deal with that one, eh?
