Object: Why don't Muslims believe the Quran?
Obviously the verse from the Quran below says that
Jesus is the Messiah, so why don't Muslims believe this?
Tony
'''Behold (O Mary!)' The Angel said, 'God has chosen you, and purified you, and
chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you good news of a
word from Him, whose name shall be the Christ (Masih or Messiah), Jesus son of
Mary, honored in this world and in the hereafter, and one of those brought near
to God.' (Holy Qur'an, 3:45)

Muslim belief is that Jesus 'Rates' right up there with Mohammad, but =
neither of them are the Son of God.
Both are messengers of the Right Hand of GOD, and deserve Equal respect. =
But neither should be 'Observed' as being anything more than mortal =

I'm no expert on Muslim belief but Messiah means "anointed one", Christ
is the same in Greek. It's only Christians that extend that meaning to
include 'Son of God... member of the trinity'.
The whole point of the prophet (supposedly) was to correct the lies and
blasphemy of Christianity (not Jesus). This being the BIG one.
The trinity is an obvious deceit of the early church, even super-pious
(but not stupid) Isaac Newton figured that out, way back when.
As for Jesus = God, well look up your 10 commandments.

You're right. I am no expert either, but I know that both Christians and
Jews are considered by Islam as the People of the Book (meaning both Moses
and Jesus were sent on Earth by the same God as Mohammad, and that their
teachings has the same value as those of Mohammad).
The biggest point of dispute between Christianity and Islam is around the
concept of Jesus being the Son of God. Islamic scholars think that the
humanization of God to this degree (to literally have kids and all that) is
a blasphemy that was created many years after Jesus by the unfaithful.

Excellent 'Point'
Many Religions believe in a :
Before Life (return of a Previous life): The Son (baby)
The Current Life : The Father
And After Life: The Holy Spirit
But none is Greater Than : The Almighty
This is the what it is and what will always be!!!
After death, the body is left behind, but the Spiritual Entity lives on =
forever.
- Ooppps, again, this is probably too much information.
The ONLY reason that I can explain this message is:
The "Past Life" (Great Beyond) is trying to avert the up coming Wars.
(Maybe everyone should realise that the "Here After" is for everyone - =
regardless of Faith)
And Purgatory is nothing more than a 'Regret' of how you spent your =
Living years!!!
But, as I write this, I have already seen that it will get read by FEW =
and acknowledged by even Fewer !!!
GOD Bless Humanity. After all, we will all be sharing the same space =

The "Almighty" isn't divisible, it's ALL that is.

This is the what it is and what will always be!!!

After death, the body is left behind, but the Spiritual Entity lives
on forever.

Check.

- Ooppps, again, this is probably too much information.

Not at all, the joy of apn is that anything goes. Occasionally we even
discuss Nostradamus :-0

The ONLY reason that I can explain this message is:
The "Past Life" (Great Beyond) is trying to avert the up coming Wars.
(Maybe everyone should realise that the "Here After" is for everyone -
regardless of Faith)

Purgatory was invented by the Church in the 12th century. They've been
shamelessly making stuff up ever since Saul of Tarsus. Why else would
they spend the best part of two millenia preventing people from reading
the Bible and conducting services in a dead language?
But you're correct about the state of regret, dealing with the
conscience. Though it's not a "place" and it's not permanent.
Hell has a much longer history, from Hades to the local landfill.
And where would we be without that fantasy agent of evil, Satan? How
would we explain the evil that men do?

But, as I write this, I have already seen that it will get read by FEW
and acknowledged by even Fewer !!!

Acknowledged
You might be surprised, more than a few here possess a greater
understanding than is found in your typical pew. Lots of Cayce fans for
example.

GOD Bless Humanity. After all, we will all be sharing the same space
after Death (in the Great Beyond) !!!

BTW, you're posting in HTML.. would you consider turning it off?
You can do that by clicking Outlook Express' menu item "Tools" and then
