The article aptly analysis the various reasons for the turn
Mostly because they have had a left wing in power, and like all
political parties it is time for a change, Though Sarkozy is playing a
different game, by appointing those most capable or apt, rather than
following party lines. "do it for the country not just the party",
something that could quite easily be enacted in other so called
western democracy's.
