Too easy. I think the politicians are a reasonable facsimile of those
they represent. To misuse Roger Waters, we're comfortably numb, an old
empire in medicated sclerotic decline, ruled by over-promoted middle
managers whose aspire to make things just bearably tolerable. That's not
their fault, we elect them and they reflect us.

Voter apathy doesn't help, social engineering is turning out a generation of
selfish, ignorant kids who are unable to discern the necessity and value of
working for the common good. The majority of workers are being bled to death
by stealth taxation and, I believe, are sick of all the PC ***** this current
government revels in. Instead of creating a decent common ground they're
dragging everyone down to the lowest common denominator. Unfortunately
all the parties are just as useless as each other, it's going to take decades
to fix this and nobody looks like they're starting to even think about that
yet.
