Identity theft is dramatically increasing year over year. Information
critical to identifying one's self (social security numbers, dates of birth,
etc.) is making its way abroad, as tax documents, unemployment paperwork and
other electronic data is sent overseas to be processed. Once this
information is sold or stolen abroad, then used for fraudulent purposes,
what assurances can anyone give that this "genie" can be "put back in the
bottle"? This is especially worrisome in this Internet age, when financial
transactions can be made anywhere in the world.
It seems inevitable that there will come a time when this problem becomes
big enough that the government will need to take drastic action to find
solutions. Will they literally try to brand people like cattle, with an ID
Chip implant or with an "invisible" tattoo? For those who see this as the
creep towards biblical fulfillment of the prophetic, "Mark of the beast",
can we not devise other strategies and methods today so as to avoid falling
into the trap, short of leaving behind all worldly possessions and heading
for the hills?

Have you considered that the increase of identity theft has been planned
over time? That, perhaps, this is where we've been heading like sheep to
the slaughter? I don't think you can use Biblical prophesy to disuade
politicians on the "transponder" band-wagon.
