Object: Witch Hunting For The Wrong Person.
A Witch Hunt (started by the United States) may be a Scape Goat for
"laying blame on the wrong person".
Blaming the Leader of Hezbulah for attacking the American Troops [an
'Occupational Force' ] in Lebanon (on behalf of Israel), Is like
calling Castro a "Terrorist" for kicking the American [Occupational]
Troops out of Cuba !!!
What was American Troops doing there in the first place ??? [
Protecting "Democracy" OR just Protecting "America's (friendly)
Business Partners". ]

I assume you're refering to the 1983 suicide bombing?
If so, Hezbullah (Iran) also killed several French soldiers. Both countries were part of an
international peace keeping force put in place after the Israeli pullout. They were there to help
prevent a civil war between Lebanese factions. Following the attack, French war planes attacked
Iranian positions in Lebanon's Bekka Valley. Yes, the Iranians were behind that ordeal also. Perhaps
a better question would be:
What were the Iranians doing in Lebanon after the international community sent peace keepers?

Trying to keep (French Backed) Syria out of Lebanon.
Hezbullah has done very well on protecting its OWN.
Maybe they have done too well at this (enough to make Israel nervous)
???
Just An Un-Confirmed Thought.

Really? I thought it was to keep Israel out.

Hezbullah has done very well on protecting its OWN.

Sure, with $100,000,000 of military aid from Iran.

Maybe they have done too well at this (enough to make Israel nervous)

Israel moved before Hezbullah could construct hardened bunkers for the Iranian supplied, radar
guided Silkworm missiles. Had they not, Tel Aviv would be toast about now. This was a huge
miscalculation by Iran. Iran tried to use the kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers to dislodge the
focus, which would've been on them, at the G8. They never dreamed Israel would pull an all out
offensive. This is one of the greater oops! in Persian history. They inadvertantly gave Israel
permission to take on Hezbullah about 3 years before they were ready. Israel didn't even know the
Silkworm missiles were in Lebanon. Who knows what else Iran would've shipped in during years to
come.
DEBKAfile's reports Tehran is sending Imad Mughniyah to Lebanon to help out Hezbullah. I'd say
things are probably looking a little grim if he's being sent. Mughniyah is like Hannibal Lector.
Iran only releases him from his cage when the chips are down.
Good Day!

The REAL QUESTION IS - after the U.S. Navy "Mothballed" the F-14 (will
the F-22 'Raptor' be ready in time for World War III) ???

The F14 was state of the art 30 years ago. We've got F18's on all
our carriers now. As Krib said, the F22 is already in service.
I saw an F22 take off last year... very impressive plane... it
shot straight up into the clouds and was gone in about 1.5 seconds
(those suckers are VERY fast, and VERY big 2-seater planes).
And what makes you think WWIII is going to happen any time soon ?
For all anybody knows, it could be 80 years before a major world
conflict breaks out (don't go selling your home or quitting your
job, and certainly don't hold your breath).

Same place Saudi Arabia got there's. Not the same place Syria and Iran will be getting their next
round of aircraft. Which BTW, will not even come close to American hardware performance specs.
Israel will blow them out of the sky before they release an air to air. Of course the difference is
Israel is a recognized state and Hezbullah is a radicalized militia wanting Israel's destruction.
Still, Iran stuck their ***** in it this time.

???

Good Day!

Just An Un-Confirmed Thought.

They were there to
help
prevent a civil war between Lebanese factions. Following the attack, French war planes
attacked
Iranian positions in Lebanon's Bekka Valley. Yes, the Iranians were behind that ordeal also.
Perhaps
a better question would be:

What were the Iranians doing in Lebanon after the international community sent peace keepers?

Good Day!
