the questions begin.. and the early analysis is always ballsy..
will the resistance continue?
Nafiz Azam, Senior leader of Islamic Jihad
"This is an emotional achievement for the Americans today but it will not
put an end to the Iraqi resistance. The
Americans fabricated the notion to the whole world that Saddam was behind
the entire Iraqi resistance. But the
coming days will prove that the Iraqi people are fighting for freedom and
there is not just one person behind this
resistance. This (capture) will not allow the Americans to escape the
ambushes they face in Iraq. The resistance will continue."
Jalal Talabani, Iraqi Governing Council member and head of Patriotic
Union of Kurdistan:
"With the arrest of Saddam the financial resources feeding terrorists
have been destroyed and his arrest will put an end to terrorist acts in
Iraq,"
