Chico woman arrested in Redding following bizarre incident Saturday

A bizarre armed robbery in a south Chico neighborhood ended in the arrest
of a 41-year-old woman near Redding.
Butte County sheriff's officials said Wendy Rochelle Moulder of Chico
threatened Chico resident Eugene Sutterfield with a screwdriver before
stealing his pickup Saturday morning.
According to Sgt. Mike Lydon, Sutterfield was in bed when Moulder entered
his unlocked Hagen Lane residence shortly before 7 a.m.
Sutterfield, who didn't know the unidentified woman, later told deputies
that Moulder claimed she was from another planet. She reportedly walked
into the kitchen and looked through the refrigerator.
"She was acting very strangely and bizarrely," Lydon said.
Moulder reportedly waved the screwdriver at Sutterfield and told him she
would kill him. She also repeatedly yelled profanity as she exited the
home, Lydon said.
After she located the keys to Sutterfield's truck, Moulder drove away
eastbound on Hagen Lane. California Highway Patrol officers spotted
Sutterfield's truck on Interstate 5 about an hour and a half later.
Moulder was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on suspicion
of grand theft auto and possession of stolen property. Bail was set at
$10,000.
Lydon said a stolen station wagon was found across the street from
Sutterfield's residence Saturday morning, and that Moulder is suspected in
that theft as well.
