Here's a great new slogan -- 'Everything you've been told about Iraq by
this Administration is a lie.'
Ok -- so it's not very catchy. I'll have to work on it.
But it is interesting to see Bob Woodward come out with this book the
week after the NIE report. Losing the war in Iraq plus making the world
less safe while NATO forces in Afghanistan call for more troops in
helping to fight the Taliban. Five years after Sept 11, 2001 have you
finally had enough?
Cheers!

Woodward: Bush Concealing Level of Iraq Violence

The Bush administration is concealing the level of violence against
U.S. troops in Iraq and the situation there is growing worse despite
White House and Pentagon claims of progress, journalist Bob Woodward
said in advance of a new book.
Insurgent attacks against U.S.-led forces in Iraq occurred, on average,
every 15 minutes, Woodward said in a CBS "60 Minutes" interview taped
for broadcast on Sunday.
"It's getting to the point now where there are eight, 900 attacks a
week. That's more than a hundred a day. That is four an hour attacking
our forces," Woodward said in excerpts of the interview released on
Thursday before the release of his book on the administration, called
"State of Denial."
"The assessment by intelligence experts is that next year, 2007, is
going to get worse and, in public, you have the president and you have
the Pentagon (saying) 'Oh, no, things are going to get better,"'
Woodward added.

I think the real hard-core Bush fundies will just ignore this
book, just like Bush tends to ignore reality in favor of those
pleasant thoughts of how he'd like things to be.
So much bad news for Bush (and affiliates) right now it's hard
to see how they can stand. Most Republicans don't want to be
associated with Bush right now (bad for their image). In the
political ads the Democrats are displaying Bush being cozy
with their Republican adversary as this turns voters away
from the Republican side.

Cheers!

Ha! Yeah the tables have turned -- it's now Democrats putting Iraq in
their ads. Lieberman's infamous kiss I'm sure will make the airwaves as
well.
